The owner made sure I knew where everything was well in advance of my arrival - and everything was where she said it would be. She was also very helpful on suggestions for things to do locally and provided names and numbers on who to call. Great customer service!!

Pool very nice. People very friendly. What did not impress me was the cigarette butts everywhere and Dog poop everywhere, even though we brought our own bags there was plenty of bags provided along the beaches and parks. Some people have no respect for other people's property!
The sunset view from the property we rented was outstanding.
The sunset view from the property we rented was outstanding. Property was close to town. Took a water tour of the clam / aquaculture industry in Cedar Key with a local guide. It was very informative and interesting. Quaint town with many excellent seafood restaurants.

Loved the location, the motel is old and dated, needs a lot of updates, no information and no way to get information, no wifi, just had to drive around town to find anything to do, most stores were closed and it was a holiday weekend

Many top notch seafood restaurants, a tiki bar and several other family friendly cafes and shops to visit. No franchise restaurants but does have a Dollar General! Nice playground on beachfront location. Kayaking, boating, golf carting galore. Best small town on the west coast of Florida for boat lovers. Weekends very busy with boaters.

We did not get a golf cart, but we walked to town for lunch and dinner, as well as a boat tour of the area. Its a very small area...I think the population is around 700, but jams up on weekends. We staryed Fri-Mon and everyone left on Sunday morning, so we had the pool, town, etc pretty much to ourselves. We were on 2nd floor of our complex, and the people above us, with two small children we could hear every step they took. Cedar Key has a lot of history...make sure you take a boat tour.

The restaurants in town were overpriced and overrated.
The restaurants in town were overpriced and overrated. The only good meal we had was at the Island Hotel and Restaurant. The area in and around Cedar Key was very "buggy", including gnats, no-see ums and biting flies. Had a terrible meal at 83. My $16.00 hamburger was cooked so well done that it was like shoe leather. The chef/owner will only cook the burgers well done, even though he cooks steaks how you want them. When I asked them why he would only cook burgers well done, he stated that is how his customers want them. What kind of answer is that?? Every item of food on my plate ( French fries and fried green tomatoes ) was so drowned in salt that it was almost inedible. All three people in my party ordered fish tuna, grouper and Mahi at Steamers, and every one was overcooked. The grouper I ordered at Duncans at $32.00 was overcooked. The parking on Dock Street was virtually non-existent. Our fish charter, Saltwater Hitman, was excellent, and the lady running the Historical Museum was friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the town, and the museum itself was nicely set-up and informative. Due to the aforementioned negatives, however, it is unlikely we will vacation in Cedar Key again, nor we would recommend it to anybody we know.

If you like fishing or water sports (kayaking), then CK is great. Not much else to do. Covered by golf cart in one afternoon. One market, no drugstore or convenience store. Very relaxed atmosphere (call it being on Island Time).
We stayed in a tiny-house that was exquisitely clean and has everything we needed for a 3-night getaway as a couple with our small pup. Check-in was a breeze. The property is situated on the water with a community dock. Morning coffee from the community room made the dock even easier to enjoy! Doggie bags were provided around the grounds for easier clean up. It was also only a 5-minute drive to the center of town.
The motel was literally on seafront. Comfortable room, with lots of space, with balcony overlooking sea, (top right in picture room 203). Stunning sunsets on both nights we stayed. Best room in the hotel for views. Great pool, lovely and clean. Lots of swimming aids for non swimmers.
the location offers an easy walk downtown and the views of the Gulf are gorgeous as it right on the point. This is also one of the few hotels with a pool on the island. we stay here frequently because of that.
The views from this third floor condo were outstanding. Cedar Key is a small town so we rented a golf cart to runaround with. We did two nights, but would have been very comfortable with a longer stay!
One of the best water views I’ve ever had at a hotel! Gorgeous huge windows overlooking the ocean. Great pool area with equally stunning views. Really cute town and easy to get around from the hotel.
The unit was immaculate. Steve and Caesar were wonderful hosts. The other guests were friendly. I would stay again when visiting Cedar Key!! It was a getaway we definitely needed and enjoyed!!
Denise was so kind and accommodating! We love this little island-especially the great food; but staying in this lovely house on the water has been so nice. Highly recommend!
