We had a comfortable weekend stay at the Hampton Inn in Childress, TX. Our event was my High School Reunion, located in Wellington, TX. Only a short 30 minutes away. The front desk manager, Elva was exceptionally helpful with making sure that our small requests /room type were implemented. Our King Suite room was super comfortable, the pillows were just right. The long desk/table in our suite was awkward & wasn’t needed. The Hampton Inn location was perfectly located off of 287 /Hwy 83, Walmart was next door and Starbucks was a couple of traffic lights away. Hampton Inn & Childress, TX thanks for your hospitality.

I was passing through on my way to Spring.
I was passing through on my way to Spring. Childress had a lot of hotels to choose from. There were a lot of gas stations that had coffee and beverage options, as well as restaurants. If you happen to arrive in Childress, Texas at the end of a day of travel, it is a town with everything a traveler might need. I doubt many people will make Childress a vacation destination, but it is a good stopping place for the night.

We had a cordial experience in the office. Our room was motel-style and looked a little outdated from the parking lot. We parked immediately in front of our room (wonderful concept!). Once inside, it was quite a pleasant room. The bedding was nice and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The laminate wood flooring was new and very clean.
