Best Western Lock Haven, hotel in Clintondale

Best Western Lock Haven offers pet-friendly accommodation in Lock Haven. Every room is fitted with a TV with cable channels. Every room is equipped with a private bathroom.

Breakfast was really good. Lots of choices and the hot part of breakfast was different each day we stayed there. Tables were cleaned up immediately after someone left so the next person always had a clean table. Used the fitness room - it was kept clean and cool and it was nice to have a TV there for a distraction!

Quality Inn Lamar was run down and dirty.

Quality Inn Lamar was run down and dirty. We saw roaches in the hall near our room, the bathroom smelled like urine and the carpet in our room looked like it had notbeen vacuumed for weeks. We had no other option due to everything g being booked around us or closer to our destination. The pictures online are deceptive.

SIgnage on doors speaks to work in progress, however smell in 2nd floor hall and dirty carpet did not appear to be construction dirt. My room was ok, fairly clean, and bed was very comfy. TV was fuzzy as if fed by antenna on roof. WIFI was easy to access. There was no info in room or at front desk that I could find that talked about what amenities the hotel had ie when was breakfast, was the work out room open, etc. Breakfast was disappointing- could be they did not account for a large number of Penn State fans in town for game, and did not stock enough fresh fruit. Biggest disappointment was coming back to room mid-day to shower and dress for the funeral I was in town for , to find the water in hotel off. There was no place to wash up -- and no answer when I asked the desk when the water would be back on. I pressed front desk to find out explaining my need--after a half hour waiting, water was back on in time but this was not the stress that I needed during my trip home to attend my mother's funeral. No apologies or offer to comp or offer to discount next trip...would have been good to acknowledge the inconvenience in some way. I would not rate this hotel as up to my overall expectations based on the price of the room for 4 night. There are other hotels in area I would try on any next trips.
