I only had coffee and a couple of pieces of fruit. Did not take time to sit down and eat breakfast. I have been an IHG member for many years as my husband and I used to do a lot of traveling. I don't travel much anymore, however, when I do travel, I always try to stay at a Holiday Inn Express. Since I have not been traveling, my status dropped to Silver, which was a shock when I checked in and the lady told me I could not have free water since I was only silver status and that I could get a bottle from the vending machine for $3.00. Needless to say, that gives me an entirely different view of Holiday Inn Express since there are many other hotels to choose from now. I suppose in the future when I do need to travel, I will be checking with other hotels.
