Seems like a laid back town.
Seems like a laid back town. Lake DeQueen had many areas closed due to Covid. Many restaurants with restrictions to wear mask until your drink arrives but many places were not in compliance. We liked the town and people seemed nice. Only 45 miles from Mena and lots of drives.

DeQueen is a very small town.
DeQueen is a very small town. Very few stores but several fast food and restaurants. Best is Mary P.O.P.S. Mexican restaurant and Ranch House Cafe. Only one grocery store and one Walmart. People are super polite and friendly. We love it because our son lives near there.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and personable. The room was perfect size for me and my husband, the bed was comfy, there was a mini fridge, microwave, blow dryer, coffee pot, fly swatter (it’s summer in the south and flies follow you in the door so this was a blessing) and even an iron and board in the room. And surprisingly it was quiet even though the hotel appeared to be full.
