The only good thing is the shuttle which serves the purpose of staying near airport. Everything that is available just bare minimum. Check in was easy, but there is no hospitality about this hotel.
Enjoy travelling stress-free at this conveniently located hotel, situated minutes from Newark International Airport and featuring free 24-hour airport transfers along with comfortable accommodation...

This is the perfect writing, relaxing, or romantic honeymoon...
This is the perfect writing, relaxing, or romantic honeymoon quarters. Definitely will be back! No parking! No problem! Free parking 2 minutes nearby; 5 if you walk! Excellent choice to stay here; you cannot go wrong! All places have there likes and dislikes. We are not drinkers so not selling alcohol after 10pm didn't bother us. Plus I did notice a few bars open past that time if you're into that. Plus New York City is a skip hop and jump on the highway if you're into that type hustle and bustle. I'm a writer, and being close to Jersey Shore, Staten Island, and good shopping was perfect. But Jersey Gardens Mall I found my wife great dresses and not too far from that I found myself excellent grade designer suits for my long arms all for great prices. I'm very pleased with my stay overall

Mapquest took us from the nj turnpike to the Embassy Suites...
Mapquest took us from the nj turnpike to the Embassy Suites thru the city. City car and truck drivers were nasty and dangerous. In one case, we had a left turn arrow and but many cars didn’t stop at their red light, but kept going forward thru the intersection. It was awful. Or they pulled out to turn left but right in front of forward traffic. And we’re speeding. Never again.

I was only in Elizabeth overnight, staying in an airport...
I was only in Elizabeth overnight, staying in an airport hotel for an early flight out in the morning. i didn't really see much of Elizabeth, but what I did see was not impressive. I took a walk towards a grocery store from my hotel. The walk was littered with trash, and the neighborhood with the grocery store was pretty sketchy. Closed storefronts, graffiti, garbage on the sidewalks, groups of unsmiling people blocking the entrances to businesses. I was happy to make it back safely to my hotel before dark.

Stuck in the middle of absolutely nowhere, completely...
Stuck in the middle of absolutely nowhere, completely reliant on either room take out or restaurant delivery, you are sure to get enough rest if you are waiting for your connecting flight out of EWR. There is nothing much to do but rest rest rest, and fortunately, the room is comfortable enough for you to do so. But food availability - other than free breakfast - might pose a challenge.
Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel was good for the purpose we booked it for - proximity to the airport and the airport shuttle. It was very convenient to get to New York via shuttle, air train, and Amtrak. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and the shuttle service reliable and non-stop. Highly recommended for transit travelers who just want to see Manhattan before flying further.
The issue we had related to the outbreak of Legionnaires Disease at adjacent properties (Hilton and Renaissance Hotels).
Felt creepy- tried without success to get a refund from Bookings.com and find a different hotel.
Walked to Elizabeth NJ in search of dinner. Wow- all of the hotel properties are surrounded by trash, filth, dead animals.
House was warm and welcoming. Bed was super comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean and bright. Communal areas were comfortably furnished. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. Great ambiance and so much more relaxing than being in a hotel. Access was easy and entrance well lit. Free wifi was great to have and signal was generally good.
The breakfast was totally disappointing. We had expected a buffet breakfast like other Marriot hotels but discovered to our utmost surprise an option of fruits or a sandwich. In my opinion thats clearly not value for money. We have been Marriot patriots for almost 10years and we will now have to consider other hotel chains.
Location was very quiet, which was the best part after a long travel day, breakfast was decent, coffee and oat bar was all I wanted to start my day
I have also booked this hotel for the shuttle bus and it didn't disappoint, just keep in mind that they don't operate between 10:30 pm and 5-6:00 am
The front desk staff could not have been nicer and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was OK. That hotel saved us after the Home2 Suites by Hilton Newark Airport told us, after we arrived after a 22 hr flight, that they had cancelled our reservation because overbooking.
I like staff, the owner was friendly. The house is a bit old, but the location is awesome. Only 5 minutes walk to public transportation to reach NYC. Great value.
I do recommend this hotel. Not luxurious at all. But simplicity is a mother of everything.
Worst hotel ever!
What is shown on the photos is by far not the reality.. could not even flush the toilet because was broken.
very disappointing.. also disappointed with Booking as you should check if hotels really complies with quality standar.
Good location for layovers, but not a hotel I would recommend for staying over for vacation.
Rooms are decent and sufficient, larger than most Manhatten rooms. Just next to the Mills for last minute shopping. Shuttle to Airport
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting New Jersey.
Nothing. They did not honor our booking. The hotel said that Booking.com oversold their hotel. We were stranded with no room even though we had a confirmation from Booking.com
The staff are very nice. the hotel is two minutes walk from Jersey Gardens which is a huge mall with no tax. they also have a free shuttle to the airport.
