I was in Eugene for day surgery and the sitting room/bedroom suite was just perfect for our needs. My husband could come and go and take our dog to the terrific Alton Baker dog park within walking distance, and use the sitting room during the day & evenings while I rested and slept in the separate bedroom. Your bistro is also very good and he didn't have to go far to keep himself well fed.

This is a fantastic city -- creative and vibrant with plenty of big city fun with a small town vibe! Eugene has a fantastic food scene and great book and music shopping and museums. My favourite is the Whiteaker Neighborhood; lots of fantastic dining options and live music plus parks and the beautiful river path. It is a great place to walk and cycle.

Eugene is a college town, and we chose to go on road trips instead of staying in town. If there are games going on, it can be quite hectic to try and get around the city. There are covered bridges to go and see in Cottage Grove, as well as waterfalls and other hikes to partake in in Cottage Grove and outside Eugene.

I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold! And the rain never stopped for our entire stay. And the day we had planned to leave, I-5 was expected to be closed over Siskiyou Pass due to snow and high winds. We left a day early and drove home via the long route, over to 101 and then down the coast. Temp never got above 45 degrees and the rain never stopped, but at least we didn't have to deal with snow. If you need to go to Oregon, schedule it for the summer when it is actually quite pleasant.

It was good to tour the campus although we were there for a wedding. It was sad to see the homeless on the streets. Other than football and sports, I don't know what anyone would do on vacation. A trip to the winery was fun. Eugene is not for us.

Classic college town with a clear progressive and liberal tilt.
The scent of pot being smoke was not uncommon.
The city streets were CLEAN and there were very walkable sidewalks on most city streets.
I saw signs of a concerted public assistance to homeless populations rather than the constant conflict between the haves and the have-nots in Seattle.
I only spent one day but I would have liked to spend more to explore its nooks and crannies.

My family always loves staying in Eugene.
My family always loves staying in Eugene. We travel to the Ducks football games around three to four times at least every season. My family enjoys the location of the Hayward Inn because it is the perfect location for sporting events and amazing restaurants. We love the walk to Autzen Stadium from the hotel as well.
When I get a room, I'm looking for a comfortable bed and a good shower. I slept like a baby and did enjoy a good shower in the morning.
Here you also get enjoyable public space. With common areas, both inside and out - you get to visit and develop new friends.
The staff is wonderful. I felt like they really enjoy their jobs.
And then there is breakfast! It truly is an experience. I loved it!
I arrived 2 hours before check in time and without hesitation I was able to get my room. That's huge for me being a female and traveling alone for business trips to a new town every other day. The room was very clean. Location was fantastic! Starbucks, Gas station, Restaurants and Hop Valley brewing all within walking distance. Definitely will stay here again the next time in the Eugene area
By the river and shared use walking and bike path, this hotel is ideally located near the river as well as a mall, shopping, and restaurants. Room sizes are bigger than most hotels and beds are comfortable. A keurig type coffee machine and a fridge make this ideal for families that want to have the option to dine in or out. Will stay here again!
Good choice for those who prefer to stay in an older building with more "character" than a standard hotel. Located in the same building as the eponymous restaurant. Nice bedsheets. Overall, despite nitpicking below, I believe Eugene is better for having this place. Staff was trying very hard. The room was quiet.
I travel to Eugene often to visit family. My experience with other hotels in Eugene has ben that, being a college town, the hotels are well used and not the cleanest. The Hampton Inn on the other hand is very clean, and the stafff is very polite. I will be staying there again when I visit family in West Eugene.
Room was extremely clean, very well made, location close to stores, restaurants and gas stations and area well lit so appeared to be a safe place to stay. King size bed was nice and soft but the pillows smelled of smoke (even though pillow cases and bedding clean) and not the best quality pillows and bedding.
Decor was amazing. Room was so cool, floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows were truly awesome, view was amazing, nice bathroom products, nice coffee and tea kettle in room. Bed was clean and comfy. Telephone was retro. Lamps were very cool. Everything in the room was so cute and picture worthy.
Great location, very clean room, most comfortable bed and amazing sheets! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than most, and loved the dish ware!!! I give this hotel a 10 out of 10 and will definitely stay again when I need a hotel in Eugene! 🙌
Having access to the kitchen to new coffee or boil water for my tea is such a treat. Like the rooms, the kitchen and other common areas were very well stocked and very clean! I look forward to my next stay here!
This old yet updated Best Western is simple and has a great location next to the University of Oregon. Area was quiet and our room overlooked a stream. I got to watch ducks. That was fun.
check in clerk was pleasant and efficient.
dog area was green, mowed, close, convenient, and had a bag and trash dispenser.
room was clean with clean towels and sheets and furniture.
Great location, The room was very nice, the staff was amazing, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, the pool and pool hours were perfect! We would highly recommend this hotel! !!
