Everything. The house is incredible. Our room was a dream. We stayed in “ Heavenly “. Margie and Melissa were great hosts. I’m starting to choose these type of places instead of the big impersonal hotel chains, were people act and talk like robots. Heron Cay was a beautiful human experience.

We only stayed one night, but we will not return, my family and I saw: cockroaches, super bad hygiene, it smelled horrible, under the bed there was a cover with bodily fluids! terrible!! I think it has bad management because the location is perfect, everything is close by, restaurants, shops, and the town of Mount Dora is beautiful, but the hotel could not be recommended 😞

Beautiful cottage home across from a lake. Extra large comfortable porch where we drank our morning coffee while watching the rain, so relaxing. Large and cozy accommodations that exceeded expectations. The owner was so helpful and made easy access for my elderly parents. Streaming services was a bonus but we opted to take long naps in the cozy living room during our raining weekend. It was hard to leave, even our sassy furbaby did not want to go. We will return and hopefully we will be able to use the large fire pit, outside deck and grill.
