The location had a lot of potential, but the waterfront VIEW was clouded by a small dirty window. Without an elevator, the choice of a ground floor room facing the street was not a choice. The room was fine enough, bed comfortable, but coffee maker did not work and 3 out of 4 of the ice machines were broken. No Breakfast. When I tried to contact the main desk with questions, Saturday evening 8-10pm, they did not answer and were not behind the desk. The maid was wonderful!

It is hard to list all of the things that we liked, rather loved, about this B&B! The style, the attention to detail and the quality of the furnishings that Paul has assembled in this historic home, the wonderful breakfast that Sharyn put together and her charm, and the chance to walk around this interesting neighborhood would top the list. This really is a special place, and not to be missed if you are in the area.

The concierge gave us a great recommendation for dinner,The black whale which we had a fabulous dinner with superb wait staff.plenty of easy walks to do and staying at the Delano was a real treat. Fairhaven has the biggest fishing fleet , boats were everywhere you looked.

The room and hallways were musty smelling and the the room needs some care and maintenance. Our room security latch was missing and the back door swipe card mechanism was broken, leaving it open to anyone to enter. Due to renovations, breakfast was not being supplied with no gratuity or reduction in price. It was very difficult to find parking due to seasonal outside entertainment.

Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast for the accommodations including a full breakfast. Lots of attention to details. Lots of history of the Delano house as well as the immediate area. Super comfortable king size bed. Internet worked great. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with guests from many different places across the 5 days we were there: from Belgium one morning, from South Carolina and Maine another morning, then from neighboring New Bedford. Guests choose their breakfast times for a relaxed morning. Paul as the innkeeper was a great source of information and recommendations of places to see and of where to dine; each place was a winner! He also helped with our bags to the car even as we departed at 6:am to drive to the Boston airport. Super Host! Liz as the hostess and cook for the morning breakfast and to help with any housekeeping issues was a delight. She also was a wealth of knowledge on the house and the area. I grew up in this town so I'm a bit biased but I love...
I grew up in this town so I'm a bit biased but I love Fairhaven, especially the village where the Seaport is located. The town is rich with history and Fairhaven has everything you could want in a vacation spot. Avoid the crowds and expense of the Cape and Islands and spend your time here instead. It's more economical and more relaxing.

Lovely New England seaside town.
Lovely New England seaside town. We are originally from MA, so we were familiar with the surroundings. Handy to New Bedford and the Cape. Plenty of good restaurants and beaches close by. Love this town friendly people lots to do. The drive up was kind of hectic but it was worth every minute. Went fishing on the "Bounty Hunter"that was the highlight of the whole trip,my grandson didn't want to leave,his smiles thru out the trip...priceless😁 Thank you guys see ya next year.AAnonymousUnited States

The rugs in the hallway are old and not clean, the room smelled of dogs (dogs are allowed), the paint colors are dark and dingy (brown bathroom, dark blue room). Upon returning to our room at night, a drug addict slipped in the side door, and there were parties all night. Upon awaking, I found empty beer bottles outside my room. The bathroom floor felt slimy. Simply a very bad experience. And the breakfast was AWFUL, don't bother.

Staying in a historic mansion is really special. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and our new hostess was very helpful. It was not too far from the ferry terminal to Martha's Vineyard by uber. Walking around the little town of Fairhaven was very memorable.

The toilet seat was loose, the halls smelled musty, the staff was not friendly, the phone didn't work, the pool was closed, there was no place to eat there, they were doing renovations but at a very slow pace. Please don't waist your money on this place. I should have stayed at the Best Western in Dartmouth instead.
