Fairhope is a lovely town. It is actually quite large but feels small. There are lovely boutiques and the local restaurants are all excellent. We didn't have a bad meal anywhere. We would reccommend Tamara's in particular. We regretted leaving Fairhope after four days and going on to a "beach community" in Walton which was far less genuine.

It's a beautiful hotel, felt comfortable and safe being by myself there. The hotel cleaners offered too help me with putting things in my truck to leave. They were so nice and I had great communication with each of them.

Hotel was maintained well, nice beds, tv pool and, not a fancy hotel, but will serve your purpose, friendly staff, about 25 minute drive to gulf shores but half the price, If your in fairhope you must try, Gambinos Itilian grill, has a lot of menu items, my favorite is their Rib eye steak, lots of old town shopping, scenic drive along Mobile Bay, a visit to The Uss Mobile, is about 20minutes away and worth the drive,

Fairhope is a wonderful artistic community with a nice downtown shopping and restaurant area. It sits on a bluff above Mobile Bay but you can still drive down to the water to a park. Lots of nice walking areas throughout town.

Fairhope is filled with extremely helpful, friendly and sincere locals that are the way all people should act. The world would be a much better place if we took notes from the residents of Fairhope. The seafood is out of this world; EVERYTHING is good and if I lived here I probably would eat out once a day at least. Such huge proportions that you only need 1-2 meals a day spaced out. The flowers and the trees are astounding; the Mobile Bay is great down by the volunteer Firehouse where the pier is. They even have a sandy beach which we found the last day and if it had been summer; it's so close to the Holiday Inn, you don't have to go all the way to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores at the Gulf of Mexico; making your stay a great combo of things to do. There is also a museum of Fairhope downtown in the 4 streets of walking. It has a French Flair in the downtown area where residences and restaurants are galore. There is a Fairhope Brewery, too on Fairhope almost walking disance of the hotel. Just go North to Fairhope and East to the Brewery; They have trivia, weekend get-togethers and fabulous brewski's.

nice town not sure of the neighborhood, felt safe in room, 20mi drive to gulfshore, but a nice ride, pool was closed, but other hotels had their pools open, not to manny choice resturants mostly fast food
Only problem with our stay were post hurricane rate hikes close to 100 %. However, this was industry standard across the evacuation area and we were grateful to escape and feel welcomed and cared for by the loving staff.
Since it was impossible to reserve directly with any hotels after Ida, I suspect rate increases were applied through booking services.
The staff was friendly! Almost like you were coming home for a week and your mom was checking you in… telling you how to stay safe, where the drinks and food were if you get hungry, etc… the office was sparkling clean and smelled amazing. I was shocked to get such a clean, nice hotel for under $100!
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and I had plenty pillows which usually is a problem with most hotels. I had a little maintenance issue upon checking in and when I called front desk—they responded quickly and fixed the issue. The employees were really nice.
The hotel es comfy and beautiful. The people in the reception were very kind. They even gave us a map and a paper with all the restaurants in town. The room was nice also. The breakfast was perfect! Real eggs, real pancakes.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was very clean and tastefully decorated (except maybe for the plastic flowers everywhere lol). The staff was INCREDIBLY nice and accommodating!
Very good hotel, exceptional value. New flooring, no more carpets. Furniture a bit dated, but so's the furniture at home - no big deal. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
