Friendly staff, pet friendly, LOCATION!!! We have stayed here before because it's 10 to 15 minutes from where our daughter moved too. And they offer a descent breakfast.

The city of Florence is small but the people are wonderful and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. I enjoy my time in Florence each time I go, just be cautious of the hotel you book. I would definitely not recommend Baymont By Wyndham.

Chaos & confusion. Needed a map to find our way around.
Chaos & confusion. Needed a map to find our way around. I love to eat but definitely not there. If anyone moves there that can cook they will be popular and wealthy. The indoor mall died a long time ago. I'm sure at one time it was very industrious, now it is a ghost town.

The Florence/Muscle Shoals area is my favorite place.
The Florence/Muscle Shoals area is my favorite place. I love the cities, the atmosphere, etc. I had not eaten at Ricatoni's before and I did get to eat there and it was a delicious meal. I also managed to visit some of the downtown shops, etc. and thoroughly enjoyed that. I usually stay at The Shoals Marriott, but decided to try The Stricklin Hotel. I was not pleased with that experience as compared to The Marriott. I would have much preferred to stay at The Marriott.

We drove 6 hours to see what was advertised, as a Fourth of July celebration, at McFarland park, only to find it had been CANCELLED!!!
The majority of the venues and restaurants were closed on Sunday, and other tourists, including ourselves, were wandering around looking at closed businesses.
Very disappointing.
Our room at the Stricklin was filthy, and didn’t appear to have been cleaned in weeks.
Filthy sheets, and housekeeping had already left when we checked in, so the desk clerk brought up sheets.
Booking. Com AND this hotel, should refund our money!

Quaint little town with many historical sites to see.
Quaint little town with many historical sites to see. Warm and welcoming community. Enjoyed the birth place of Helen Keller and the Frank Lloyd Wright home. Ate at Ricatoni's Italian Grill for late lunch. Food, staff and atmosphere were all very enjoyable.
Breakfast was not great, you served yourself, what was provided was not nice. The hotel is very tired looking and everywhere looks as though it needs a good scrub. Our room carpet was very dirty and sticky, the room had a funny smell, I ended up wearing my shoes to even go to the bathroom. Clearly the hotel needs a refurbishment. The lift floor looked just as bad. We were only staying one night so put up with it but wont stay at any Hampton Inn again. The staff were very nice and helpful.
We ate 2 days in the restaurant in the lobby It was great alittle costly but great. The last day the staff acted confused about what they were suppose to do My husband didn't get a refill on his drink after we asked twice. It costed the waiter his tip The staff at hotel was friendly and helpful. The specialty coffee lady was greats. she could make whatever I wanted.
Excellent location and conveniently located within walking distance of all the local amenities. Loved Big Bad Breakfast and The Boiler Room (with Bowling Alley and music) that were located within the hotel. I loved the old world eclectic feel and the decor. The historic exposed brick and original hardwood flooring was beautiful. Will definitely return in the future!
Absolutely nothing. I've been staying in hotels every week for the past 10 years and this was hands down the worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. Pictures are very misleading, rooms are not clean, staff is rude grounds are disgusting with lots of illicit activity going on at all hours of the day.
The staff were all nice. The room was clean. The bed was better than any hotel bed I’ve slept in. The WiFi worked great for my kids - no complaints from them at all. The pool was fun for the kids. It was a nice breakfast - plenty of options.
The few issues we had we solved almost immediately.
The cleanliness of the room was great, the location a little uncomfortable for me. I was traveling by myself with a very young kitten so I needed a pet friendly hotel. I enjoy Wyndham properties. The staff was excellent addressing all my issues.
I like the way the desk clerk accommodated me with placing my room on the lower floor because I had four little grandchildren with me and it was much easier not using the elevators
Excellent staff, they delivered what they promised and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was a perfect size. We felt very comfortable. I appreciated the cleanliness.
