This is a historic gem, that weaves in together western culture, native American history and cinema. A really unique place to stay. The room was big enough, and comfortable. Staff was great, especially the restaurant staff. Burgers are great and have very funny names. A must stay + eat when in Gallup.

The room was clean. The pool was clean. Breakfast - we stayed 2 nights, and could eat something different each morning. The possibility to add green chilli to eggs was great.

Staff are lovely. There was a problem with the water locally and we felt for the receptionist as some customers were blaming her!

When we checked out and was traveling on the road, I remembered I had left my reading glasses in the room. I called Gallup to tell them about my reading glasses, and gave them our room number and asked if they found them if they could send them to my home in California, and they said there was nothing they could do to help me. That was my only pair of reading glasses.

We stayed in the historic area on Route 66 on the west side of town and enjoyed walk-in in the downtown area and dining at a local Mexican restaurant that had a great authentic local meaning at a good price.

One can many well-prepared and signed nice hiking trails around Gallup. In the city there are several shps that offer native american artworks. I bumped into a cafe which made really good coffee in an atmospheric that was alsp well suited for working (spacious, music, WLAN).. The weather in Gallup was warm with a strong dry wind,, much better than farther to the East where it was too hot and humid for outdoor activities. I recommend to visit Gallup. with 2 overnight stays (I had only one night there).

Dirty room and bathroom, they had flies coming out of the sink area of the restroom. There were stains on the mattress and small lively black bugs as well. The bed frame has stains as well and it looked like blood. I’m glad I brought my own blanket. I could not believe how dirty and yellow the mattress was when pulling back the sheets. For being pet friendly I was surprised it was all carpet. The worst part was the rule about no refunds if you were in the room for more than 20 minutes. By the time I found all the problems it was past 20 minutes I had no choice but to stay.

The facility and room was nice and clean- The Bed was horrible and had a big dip in it and was just downright an old mattress. Staff was no help and Assistant Gen Mgr sent email few days later promising to address the issue and do better next time. Guess they expected me to appreciate the worst night of sleep ever...Usually like La Quinta Inn's but will not ever go to this one again...Take my chances in other places.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although it is an older motel, it has newer mini fridge and microwave. The linens were very clean. It was quiet and I didn't really see any other people, which was good, especially later at night. Very easy check in and out. I did stay in a different hotel in Gallup the night before that had a 7.2 rating and this hotel was equally comfortable, clean, and normal wear and tear aged, but this one was nearly $20 less per night.
The staff was exceptional. Met Leroy. He's a gem! He knows the history of the hotel and of his Navajo people. It was a joy talking to him. We had a room in the hotel itself and it was exactly the old Rt. 66 experience we were looking for. Be prepared for an extremely small bathroom, but the room is very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is also excellent. The gift shop has quite a variety of items. We will be back!
I was majorly surprised at how excellent the room and how superior the comfort of the stay was at this hotel. I travel often for work and I truly wish more places did all those important things right. Great bed, great pillows, great shower, nicely appointed room, well furnished, quiet, good hvac, decent tv. All in all the best sleep I've had in a hotel in the last year - kudos!
If you need a clean, convenient place to stay in Gallup, we recommend this hotel. The clerk at reception was welcoming and professional. Our king room had a very comfortable bed with good linens, plenty of electrical outlets, and free wi-fi. There also was a complimentary breakfast bar with nice assortment - eggs, sausage, pancakes and breads.
This hotel was at a good location, we stayed in this hotel on route 66, the check in was on a television using zoom and when it needs you to scan your passport, you have to put it in a machine to scan. The roon was quite good and it was clean enough, if you would to enter the breakfast roon, you need to tap the key on room 101 to enter
We had a large room on 2nd floor with Kingsize bed on the inside looking over the huge foyer. What I liked was that we did not have a prob with noise from the enormous large good trains across the road. Most hotels were backing on the train tracks in Gallup.
Breakfast was good too.
Spotless, quiet, good location and staff were so helpful. One of our group was I’ll during the visit and the hotel were so helpful. The hotel has a lovely pool, great breakfast and even laundry facilities. perfect!
Hotel is on Route 66, which served the very purpose of my travel. Though I read reviews on train sound, I didn't find it very disturbing. Decent property with all facilities and serving very good breakfast.
N/A re breakfast. This property met all my minimum requirements, including its location on the extreme west end of Gallup. It is unassuming, but the attentive, helpful manager made me feel wanted and safe.
Nice staff. Breakfast good. Swimming pool was a bonus. The location is perfect, behind the Rancho hotel where u can visit, eat n enjoy a drink at the bar. Easy to find n great car park.
