The hotel is a great location at the bottom of the main street, it’s on a junction nut we barely heard any traffic noise as it is set back. The building is very impressive, the room was a good size with two well made up and large (by British standards) single beds. It’s only a short drive to Gettysburg battle site, basically two roads and convenient for down town shops, bars and places to eat.
Located just outside of historic downtown Gettysburg, this hotel offers warmly decorated rooms with a flat-screen cable TV. It features the Gateway Movie Theatre and an indoor pool.

Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it!
Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it! It's easy to walk around Gettysburg because there are benches everywhere but bring or purchase a cane or walking stick because the sidewalks are uneven. The Chocolate Market is an AWESOME experience, and so is Buddy Boy's Winery shop. Of course, don't miss shopping at Gallery 30 in the heart of town, the Irish Store, and Dirty Billy's Hats among many other places. The ONLY negative is that most stores don't open until 10 AM and close by 4 PM. Also, some stores are not open the entire week. So, plan your trip accordingly and enjoy the small-town feeling.

Great, historic small town with the Nation's largest Civil War Battlefield that the National Park Service is constantly trying to restore/maintain to its 1863 setting. I highly recommend booking a licensed battlefield guide for a two hour tour of the battlefield. WELL worth the price.

Gettysburg is much more than its history, and the history itself will keep you busy for days. We found so many local businesses that we wanted to explore, hotels we'd like to stay in, and people that were so friendly. Could easily make a long weekend out of a visit, even in the off season.

The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown". Everything closes so early including gas stations even on the weekends. So, if you are from the city like me make sure you do everything early including food. Most places close their kitchens between 9-10pm on the weekends.

We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide.
We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide. You pay online prior to your tour, download the app, and when you start at the designated location, the app uses GPS to guide you through a specific tour route.....with narration. VERY inexpensive, but thorough and informative. The 'human' guide prices were exorbitant. The only caution is that there are no restrooms on the tour route. So, in order to use facilities, you must leave the route and return to where you stopped on the tour route. The app doesn't help you find restrooms. In addition, most businesses (including 7 Eleven) would not allow someone to use their restroom. We had to travel back to Sheetz (2-3 miles out of our way) for hassle -free relief.
The location is terrific, close to Gettysburg and attractions. Quiet, clean, pleasant staff, easy check-in, so much nicer than a hotel room. The bathroom has a walk-in tiled shower, plenty of light. Separate bedroom from living area. Cute kitchenette with microwave, nice-sized fridge, and coffee maker with coffee packs (filters) provided. Small wooden deck off of kitchen. Lots of open area to explore on the grounds. There is even a large pond with picnic tables and paths to walk around. Beautiful sunsets!
We stayed one night in a recently remodeled room with new bathroom fixtures and a very comfortable bed. the room was clean and even though both adjacent rooms were occupied, we had a very quiet night's sleep. We did not take advantage of all the hotel's amenities (e.g., pool, lounge, breakfast) but they seemed to be pretty nice. There were a lot of exterior maintenance and improvement projects going on. The location was very convenient to Gettysburg attractions.
This is the best hotel in town. It is within walking distance to nearly everything. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The attitude was reflected in the guests as well - everyone was so cheerful. The whole family loved the pool and the view from the balcony was great. Breakfasts were included and delicious - they offered sugar-free options and great coffee! We will always stay at this hotel when in Gettysburg!
Chose hotel based on the best-bang-for-the-buck” near Gettysburg. Our search criteria was cheapest clean and safe hotel near Gettysburg that had a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and a good review ratings. Operating a hotel is challenging. I hope guests will be kind and patient with the new owners because we got the sense that they are working hard to provide a clean and comfortable hotel. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good value hotel.
The property was well located and had everything we needed for our short stay. The property was clean and well presented with off street parking. Cindy was very helpful in providing an inflatable bed and bedding for my husband to use downstairs as he had injured his knee a few days before our arrival. Great place to stay for a visit to Gettysburg.
It fully immersed us in the Gettysburg experience. Right in the center of the town circle. Pure perfection. Beats a cookie cutter Hotel. Beyond clean. It went beyond our expectation and the owners were attentive and quick to respond. We just can’t say enough about this beautiful place. You would be crazy not to stay here
Well designed, historic building, lot of public area, amazing library of Civil War books- great for History fans. Annate was so kind and upgraded us to the Lincoln Suite which was marvelous. She was also very helpful in providing us with helpful information about restaurants and sites.
Free parking just behind the hotel.
The location is perfect, it is across from the Battlefield and Cemetary where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address. It is walking distance to all the shops and some resturants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. We stay here everytime we come to Gettysburg. Over all a GREAT place!!!
Wonderful stay in our travels home from North Carolina. Unfortunately, we did not have time to do sightseeing of Gettysburg sites but we enjoyed the facilities, incl. dining, at this hotel. The hotel beautifully displayed the historical significance of this area. Top notch!
Central to Gettysburg National Military Park and downtown Gettysburg, the hotel was within short distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. The outlet mall was right out the front door. Staff was exceptional.
This hotel was adorable and the room was nice and large. The staff was very friendly and the location was walkable into town. If we were staying in Gettysburg again we would absolutely stay at Federal Pointe!
We liked the location the hotel it is close enough to main area of Gettysburg but fair enough you get away from all the tourists. And the value for the most part wasn't too horrible.
Great location, hot tub and amazing breakfast.
The staff is awesome
Second time there. Very convenient to get to Liberty Mountain resort and Gettysburg historical places.
The indoor pool was a hit with the kids! Also, the lobby and history of the hotel was spectacular! We relly enjoyed looking at the artifacts and paintings all around.
Location was superb!! We found everything we wanted to see within a mile or a from the hotel. This will be our go to whenever we head to Gettysburg again.
