The desk help was friendly and there was a good coffee shop a short walk from the hotel. The room was nice and had a table for eating in the room. We stayed there during the Peninsula bike ride weekend and the location was convenient to the ride.

The bed was very comfortable. Grounds and room were well maintained. Amenities were wonderful. Had full size coffee machine. We travel a lot and you just don't see that anymore. Also, loved that they provided paper towel in the room. Have never seen that before. The staff was wonderful. Very nice place!

Gills Rock is located a few miles north of the busier tourist communities in the area. It is thus easily accessible to those activities but offers a respite in a quieter location with a slower pace. Enjoyed dinner and viewing the sunset at The Shoreline Restaurant.
