I loved the location and friendliness of the staff! The breakfast was really good and the rooms were mostly quiet.

The breakfast was above average with a variety of items. Area was clean and well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. I did end up using the exercise room and appreciated the tread mill

The location was great, close to restaurants and Walmart across the street. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cold though, we were either hot or cold.
I definitely would avoid this hotel, the amenities listed on the site were not accurate.
The staff knew the pool was out and failed to inform guests upon checking in.

Great town for shopping and eating.
Great town for shopping and eating. Located close to other attractions. There is a must see old ice cream parlor called the Olympia and a family owned quality shoe store with a large selection of shoes, socks, some clothing and costume type jewelry.

I used to work in Goshen; I like most of the things there.
I used to work in Goshen; I like most of the things there. Had to go all the way to Elkhart to eat at the Olive Garden, though. Why doesn't Goshen have some of the nicer FAMILY restaurants? Had breakfast at the I-Hop restaurant; that was wonderful.
Everything was absolutely exceptional, from the farm fresh milk and eggs and our hosts hospitality, to the farming community peacefulness. We were very lucky with near 70 degree weather in November. The covered carriage ride was great and we got a small glimpse into the Amish community which was very interesting.
We have stayed at many hotels during our travels over the years and staying at The Garden Gate is hands down the best experience ever.
I dislike the fact that I wasn’t offered the option of housekeeping. Part of the amenity of a hotel room is coming in after a long day of work away from home to a made bed and neat room. This hotel doesn’t even offer the option so no clean towels or refill of k cups. Phones were not set to the correct time so wake up call was an hour off and clock radio did not work. Very few outlets, only on by the bed one by the desk and one in the bathroom.
The room wasn't clean, the sheets were worn out tomthe point of holes, there were stains on various items in the room. I asked to use a different t card for my stay vs the one I used to reserve, the clerk couldn't reverse the transaction. We were pestered on the morning of checkout about when we would be leaving and it was before 11 am. We were charged over $400 for 2 nights in a dated and overall unkempt hotel. We will never return!
The hotel has been closed down since February but they are still taking online reservations knowing the building is closed down and chained up. We reserved 4 rooms. My whole wedding party had to book at a hotel down the street. It was a horrible experience.
Everything! Amazing friendly staff , lobby and rooms beautifully well kept and the dinning are is above expection. They are kind to my family helpful and it's by far the best hotel in Elkhart county
Good position in easy reach of local sites and a very friendly family run hotel. On site laundry was a useful extra. Room had fridge, microwave and even a DVD player.
