Liked the pool and gym. Pamela at reception stood out for her very caring empathy since I was there to see a friend in hospice who passed away my last day. Other staff also kind and helpful.

The hotel was In a great location, and although one of our requests wasn't able to be met (check out a 12 noon) the staff was super friendly, and accommodating. the hotel had a nice aesthetic and was close to may restaurants and bars.

Breakfast provided a good selection of a classic American breakfast. We would have liked more fruits.
Rooms were very clean, we were informed that room service is provided every other day (which was fine for us), the receptionist could have made it clearer, that we still need ask for it.

The Delamar is convenient to excellent restaurants and upscale shopping. Walking distance to the train that takes you into New York City. Also walking distance is the Bruce Museum. The New York Times once had an article on the three most beautiful states in the United State and it was the 3C's. CALIFORNIA, COLORADO AND CONNECTICUT. He motivates the staff, is clearly involved and vested. Staff love him and his charisma pays it forward. Early in their re-work of whatever was here before. The property is beautiful especially the outdoor spaces that include brick patio and a “secret garden”. We would go down to Greenwich Avenue nightly for an exquisite dinner and return to find amazing sunsets over the garden. There are a few rooms with outdoor entrances which we preferred.
