From the moment we arrived, the friendly and helpful host made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond, offering fantastic tips on exploring the area and Yosemite National Park.
The room itself was sparkling clean and very comfortable. A perfect retreat after a day of adventuring.
The location couldn't have been better. Situated in a charming mountain village, Hotel Charlotte is close to excellent restaurants and has easy access to Yosemite via a good road. In the mornings, we enjoyed the delicious spread of complimentary muffins, fruits, tea, and coffee - a perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring.

We love the location and the room. Please note, the property is outside of the main Yosemite Park and is about 40 min away by car. We didn't mind. The property is quite near the Hetch Hetchy reservoir. Only 1 % of the park visitors make it to the reservoir. We took advantage of the nearness and visited the reservoir one late afternoon.

The town is some 25-30 minutes from the Rush Creek resort where we stayed. We only drove through Groveland, it seemed to have a lovely one block downtown with BBs, restaurants, and a few other stores. On the road to Yosemite from San Francisco through Manteca, Groveland is the most picturesque little town.

Unexpectedly charming town with way more facilities then we had imagined. The local saloon is awesome, so is the grocery store. We didn't really have time to explore the other options (as we were there to visit Yosemite) but there were plenty more interesting eating/drinking options around.

I wanted a more plush room. This one is adequate but the pillows were too hard and the bedding too thin for winter. Also the bed itself was not plush. It’s not the fault of Westgate. I tried to book at another more plush hotel but I was told there were no more rooms. Come to find out there were no more rooms at the price Booking.com got to offer. Groveland is a wonderful place to stay. About 30 min to park entrance. Great grocery store, restaurants, local bar etc. Main Street very historic looking.
