The proprietor met us at the door to greet us and made us feel very welcome. He explained every amenity and showed us our rooms. The property and house are very nice and the room was very comfortable. For security there were digital locks for both the front door and room door for an extra piece of mind. The breakfast was simple, but very good. Being walking distance to Stone Hill Winery is a huge bonus. I look forward to staying here again! Thank you Stone Hill overlook for an amazing stay.

The view from Hermann Hill of the city, Missouri River Valley and surrounding area is truly stunning! Be sure to take the “3-Mile Walking” tour (self-guided) on your stay. It is a wonderful way to take in many of the historic sites of this amazing German immigrant founded town and enjoy the food, we enjoyed Wurst Haus, vineyards, distilleries, breweries with tasting rooms, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, antique stores, and boutique shops along the way.
If you are looking for a peaceful and restful getaway with a little adventure mixed in then Hermann Hill Inn is a rare gem that will not disappoint! Staff was absolutely wonderful and nightly complementary dessert service was a nice surprise.

Hermann is an amazing historical City location right on the Missouri River. Founded by German immigrants in the mid-1800’s there are vineyards and wineries, distilleries, craft breweries, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, boutique and antique shops, and a variety of restaurants and eateries. Our personal favorite was Wurst Haus for lunch. An authentic German treat…come hungry, portions are generous! It was pretty easy to find whatever you were looking for--there are lots of restaurants, wineries, and shops. We enjoyed visiting lots of them while we were there. Also had a good sized arts & crafts show while we were there.

We've stayed in Hermann both in 2022 and 2021 on cross-country road trips because of the nearby biking on the KATY Trail. We love the wineries--although buying wine in the small shops is a better deal than the pricey tastings--and the overall quiet small town vibe. The biggest disappointment, though, is that there is no real German restaurant in the town that boasts its German immigrant heritage.JudithUnited States - 10Scored 10

We had an amazing stay at Hermann Crown Suites! E arrived a little early, but wanted to see the wineries anyway. We used the shuttle and Connie took great care of us until check in time. Staff members are all super friendly and appear to really enjoy what they do. They made out feel more like a visit with family than a home stay. There were plenty of things to do, places to go, and restaurant variety. Some places we wanted to go were not open on the days we were there. Late in the week or weekend is probably best. Still, we were able to go to two wineries and visit some shops. One museum was closed but one was open. People were very friendly and shops were interesting.
