Ocean Breeze Inn, hotel in Honolulu Landing

Located in Keaau, 20 km from Lava Tree State Monument, Ocean Breeze Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities.

Location was good for exploring the east and south sides of Hawaii. It was a very short walk to a rocky point on the water which was breathtakingly beautiful. You could hear the ocean waves from the room, and had a peek-a-boo view from the lanai. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Refrigerator and microwave were appreciated. Accomodations were basic and functional. We discovered a wonderful place to eat 15 minutes away - Paleo's Bar and Grill. There are two. We went to the one in Orchidtown 3 times in a week. It was quite busy but the service was outstanding and the prices were very fair for excellent food.

Great location, 100% nature. That's why the house is better than the artificial apartments at the Ritz. The host is a dream. I absolutely recommend this place.

The Red Cottage and Hawaiian Pond Garden Paradise!, hotel in Honolulu Landing

Boasting garden views, The Red Cottage and Hawaiian Pond Garden Paradise! features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 16 km from Lava Tree State Monument.

Staying in The Red Cottage was like stepping back in time to the Hawaii of yesteryear. The record player and albums from multiple decades were such a nice touch, and we played different records during our stay. Even the artwork was reminiscent of days gone by which was so special and made us smile. The host greeted us and left a lovely personalized note and welcome gifts, which were much appreciated. A real treat was the claw-footed bathtub, and the host had all sorts of bath accessories available. It was so relaxing!

The Bungalow at Honolulu Landing is very clean and comfortable. It is a one bedroom bungalow, it is great for me as my husband is a early riser and I can sleep longer with the door closed. The patio is right next to the living room, it overlooks the lush tropical garden. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, I cook most of my meals there. During the Omicron virus surge, I tend not to eat out in an indoor environment. There is a nice local supermarket at Pahoa, it has all kinds of fresh food, vegetables, sushi, poke, hot deli. It is about 40 minutes drive to the Volcano National Park, a park that is worth spending time there. I enjoy my stay at Honolulu Landing, I feel relaxed. It is what a vacation is for.
