I liked the staff, who were perfectly friendly and professional. The room was clean and decently sized. The beds and pillows were adequate and fairly average for hotel bedding. Free breakfast was decent and the breakfast area was cozy and very homey.

Trip was very long, even coming from Ironwood.
Trip was very long, even coming from Ironwood. At night the fog was really interesting, as other driver's would not slow to the speed limit; or below. The town has a lot of interesting points, and if I get back up there I will be sure to enjoy them. I only had time for the rock hunting trip, as the injury I sustained made me leave early. If you need assistance, a great source of help is the local Police Department. They were exceptionally helpful in finding my way around.

We toured the Cliffs Shaft Museum,. It was very interesting to see & hear about the mining history in the area. The tour guide did a great job. We stayed at Jasper Ridge Inn & highly recommend it. Clean, very comfortable room at a good price. Also was in qiuet area, not too near the highway. Hot breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, bisquits & gravy, good coffee & tea, assorted bagels, pastries, breads for toast, english muffins, etc. Cookies, coffee & water in lobby when we arrived.

We stayed three nights. The beds were comfortable, the hotel was so quiet at night (we were on 2nd floor). There was a little noise from the highway but nothing that kept us awake. There is a grocery store within walking distance and good restaurants nearby and downtown. We commuted to Marquette to visit family and it was a pretty quick 20 minute drive! We frequented a few restaurants via her suggestion. I can't remember her name , but she was a very tiny lady with dark hair. The house keeping staff was wonderful as well. We'll be coming back . My son lives in Ishpeming .
