Linda was very kind and helpful in the breakfast.
The Continental had a good multiple choice.
The buiscits and the gravy was my favorite. The coffee machine allowed me to choose from 3 strengths. Nice!! 24 hour fresh coffer was appreciated.
The breads all tasted as thpugh 'home-made'.
The little doughnuts satisfied "just enough".
I will try the sausage and egg sandwich next time: it smelled Delicious. I also will try the waffles next time. Because I noticed the children in the rom where really enjoying they're waffles amd topping.

a good town for walking and for old buildings, historic and scenic -- not a wealthy town, sort of 'rust belt' though I do not want to come across as snobbish -- Janesville is like a lot of towns in Ohio or Illinois, its peak was quite a few years ago, - it is not poor but it is not rich, and it is old

downtown on hills east bank of river, near courthouse -- hill of Van Buren St. is most interesting, old houses well kept up but not gentrified -- river is large - public library next to river is very good -- Sandwich Bar near library has wall painting of Anthony Bourdain, very impressive food, very good coffee - did not drink at bar, was there at 11 a.m. -- I did not walk around a lot, the weather was icy and snowy, I do not want to fall at my age!! -- near Microtel, where I stayed, near Hwy. 14 and I-90, there are many good stores: Ross, Target, TJ Maxx, many others plus a cinema - but I remained in motel with TV (Turner Class Movies, Angela Lansbury in 'Murder She Wrote' and P. Falk in 'Colombo' (episode with Ray Milland as aristocratic Brit murderer, scenes of Rolls Royce on Wilshire Blvd. in LA, orchids in solarium, etc.) I post photo of moonrise 6:45 a.m. Feb. 17, from motel window

I was able to get a last minute reservation.
I was able to get a last minute reservation. Everything was very clean and comfortable. There were several places in the immediate area to eat. My stay was just overnight so I wasn't able to explore the area. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful.

The city of Janesville provided my friend and me with a nice place to eat (The Milwaukee Grille), and a place to stay. We were in the area to attend the play at The Fireside Dinner Theater in Ft. Atkinson. I would avoid staying at the AmericInn next time.

Quiet small town with a lot of preserved old homes and buildings illustrating history of area. Not much to do there right now due to cancellation of group activities, but restful, peaceful place to relax and get away from home.

Janesville was great except for the roads being all torn up.
Janesville was great except for the roads being all torn up. The burgers and service at Red Robin were fantastic. We were there November 1st so we didn’t do any outdoor activities. However I’m thinking summer fun could really be had there.
All the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The room and lobby was nice and it was clean. Complimentary happy hour with drinks and snacks was a nice perk. The hotel is in a nice safe location near many stores and restaurants.
The hotel is really new and is a very good value. Much better location in Janesville than staying at comparable hotels which are located near the freeway; Cobblestone's downtown location is much better for my purposes.
The room was great very comfortable. The breakfast was great too. The hotel was close to everything you needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I come back to this area this is where I’ll stay.
Room and entire facility was clean. The breakfast was good compared with similar hotels on our recent travels; none are great, but this was best. Room was big, like they used to be back in the dark ages.
The location is good, surrounded by a lot of restaurants and stores. The hotel has adequate facilities. Room size is spacious and beds are comfy. Breakfast has less variety but adequate.
I was very impressed with the shampoos, conditioners, and soaps that were provided. Room was clean and quiet. No lingering smell like some cheaper hotels have. Over all nice hotel.
