Libby is a great town. Motel prices are tremendously over priced. It appears that all hotels are owned by probably two or three people/businesses, and monopoly prices are ridiculous. No bargains. Lots of vacancies, still sky-high prices.

The Lodge was very Cozy and I liked the 24 house access to the Breakfast Area and Fresh Baked Cookies. I wasn't crazy about having my Room checked for Damage. Never in over 40 Years of Business & Pleasure Travel has this ever happen! A little mistrusting. I guess they've had problems with transient guests in the past? It was convenient to Restaurants and Town. Picturesque Mountain Location...

Was nice to spend a day there.
Was nice to spend a day there. Lots of nature and saw more deer in this town than any place I’ve been. We counted 25 deer wandering around peoples yards and the streets. Was beautiful. Lots of old buildings that feel like you went back in time

Libby is a town that looks half abandoned and people are miserable. I don’t blame them though on account of 10% of the population dying or getting sick from asbestos related illnesses. Cabinet brewing was delicious, the beer and the food. Libby at night was scary and felt unsafe. Great place to stop in for an afternoon or morning, but stay somewhere just outside of town if you want to stick around. The wilderness surrounding Libby was amazing.

Libby is a small town with very limited things to do and places to eat. It was fine for staying one night, but I wouldn't plan on staying any longer there. If I travel through this area again, I probably won't stay in Libby.

Libby is a quiet place, and I would assume anyone traveling here is looking for outdoor adventure: fishing, hunting, river rafting, snowmobiling, hiking; any kind of rugged outdoorsy stuff.
In my case, I attended a four-day snowboarding event called the Montucky Clear Cut which booked out the entire Turner Mountain Ski Area (about 40 minutes north of town) for 100+ hard boot carvers who came in from all over the world to ride corduroy slopes. The town has just enough motels with options for restaurants, shops, and gas stations to keep you and your vehicle refueled for a few days after enjoying the Montana wilderness.
Check out the Libby Sports Center sporting goods shop for a huge supply of all the stuff that makes the great outdoors in Big Sky country so much fun.
The motel is centrally located, close to Libby's main street, and other restaurants and businesses. There was adequate free parking. The room was exceptionally clean and even had a cute little electric fireplace. Linens and towels were of good quality. The mattress was comfortable. There was an ice machine and microwave available on the property, and a small fridge in the room. The landscaping was very pretty and there were tables and chairs on the lawn for lounging. It was a good stay!
We didn't partake of bfast, but it was there and overseen by pleasant staff; clean/organized. I needed to iron our clothes for a wedding we attended in Whitefish, MT and they tracked one down for me. I liked that hotel was set off the main street. I have ties to Australia and the owner/manager made me feel right at home. Kind, hard working, fun. We needed to check in a little early and they made it happen.
loved the 24 hour breakfast bar. the fruit on offer is very good quality!
the fridge with free bottles of water is an excellent touch that all hotels should copy.
excellent attention to detail.
beds are comfy and TVs are new and offer free Roku (and Netflix if you have your own account)
staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was like checking into a boutique hotel with lots of personal touches. We were travelling on bikes and location was within walking distance to stores, great restaurants and coffee shops. Would def go back and recommend staying there.:)
Pleasantly surprised by this remodeled space. Front desk was helpful, friendly and efficient.
The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. It is located in the heart of Libby so
everything was close at hand. Highly recommend.
The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable with good wifi and a Netflix capable TV. Everyone was so kind. I stayed at 2 other motels during my stay in Libby, and especially for the price, The Sandman is the stand out winner.
Location was nice and the hotel was full of elaborate wood carvings. The pool and hot tub area is a nice bonus although we didn't get to use it. On site restaurant was tasty and decently priced.
The Country Inn is a hidden gem in Libby, MT. The room was very nice; the bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The lemon cookies were incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
