I’ve been Staying in Mackinaw City for the last 21 years I’ve Been impressed with it since the 1st stay in 2002 I’ve even stayed There The Last week of November and I walked the Bridge in 2022I KNOW it’s NOT the Chamber of Commerce’s Fault BUT the Prices of EVER-THING Has Gone EXTREMELY HIGH for Elderly Visitors The Best Prices I found was when I stayed in November 🤷♂️🤷♂️ But then there’s Not much to do in the winter months

Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time.
Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time. Walking around in the fall weather was enjoyable. Mackinac Brewhouse wine tasting was enjoyable because Stephanie was so nice. The lighthouse and walking path are a must see. The city is very clean. I could have stayed longer than my 4 days and found plenty to do or just relax and enjoy.

Awesome visit this year, during our 2022 visit most of the seasonal staff all over the city were rude and had bad attitudes , this year was opposite where staff members all over the city were outstanding , I already miss Nonnas pizza and my new favorite ice cream place The Sweet Spot on the main drag , the burgers we had at the White Buffalo were delicious, I had the bison burger and my wife had beef burger
,both were delicious but the bison one is better

I highly recommend the Labor Day Bridge Walk and Headlands International Dark Sky Park. A day trip to Mackinac Island or Sault Ste Marie is fun if you've never been, but maybe I've just stayed in Mackinaw City too many times, I couldn't find much I wanted to do. Tried to go to Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the UP, but road construction delays were such that I turned around and went back. Some of my favorite shops have closed, restaurant options and quality were less than my previous visits. The weather didn't help, it was the hottest, most humid Labor Day weekend anyone could remember, and then there were thunderstorms, wind, and rain the last 2 days of my visit.

I always enjoy a trip to the Straits!
I always enjoy a trip to the Straits! There are plenty of activities to do in Mackinaw City; we typically take a trip to Mackinaw Island. The only bad thing is that prices seem to be higher in Mackinaw City than in St. Ignace.
The hotel is well located with great views over the lake, the rooms were clean and tidy and the front counter staff friendly. I am disappointed however that Best Western hotels continue to use disposable (mainly plastic) knives, forks, cups and plates for their breakfast service. It may save BW time and money not to clean them but its just not sustainable. If this policy does not change I will consider staying at other more forward thinking hotel chains in the future. come on BW you can do better!
We got a adjoining rooms on the first floor. This made it easy for us to associate with each other and to attack the beach. The sand on the beach is full of stones and not very broad, but that is not the hotel's fault. The location near the Machinac Island boat ferries made it easy to catch one to the island. On the whole, we really enjoyed our experience.
After reading some of the reviews I was a little concern coming in HOWEVER, the stay was fantastic. The room was really clean, the staff was excellent and extremely helpful. The water park was perfect. Everyone in my family enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It’s convenient to everything, food, shopping, the ferry..everything.
Location was perfect! The sandy beach was amazing for our 2 year old and the hotel is within walking distance from all the shops and restaurants. Great value for the money. We booked a balcony king suite but was put in a jacuzzi suite and our daughter loved it! Rooms are outdated but that doesn't bother us.
The location was perfect! So close to downtown Mackinaw City, the Ferry and steps away from the bridge. Right on the beach. Heated pool too. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend staying here. The motel was more than I expected. I would definitely stay here again.
Affordable lakefront location in Mackinaw City. It’s basic accommodation and reminds me of the motels we’d stay in the 90s when I was a kid. Nothing fancy, but has character. Balconies and beach are nice. Owner is a young women working hard to manage and take over the property. Very warm and welcoming.
This does not have a working Water Park. Employee told us that it has been down for 3 years and they aren’t planning on fixing them. So it’s just a hotel with a pool and kiddie park- not that clean the pool kittie area, lazy river and pool all have sand on the bottom
Comfy room in very convenient location for Mackinac Island ferry, Mackinaw City and beach sunsets, friendly and helpful staff. Nice little extras with wine and snacks available, boxed breakfast was really easy. Lovely grounds to relax in and enjoy the views.
Beach for kids ( shallow, no undertow), nice sand for castle-building, nice fire pits, nice wood chairs, clean space in cabins, very friendly and responsive service, bathrooms small but clean and all worked well. Great view. Quiet.
Room was clean, looked newly remodeled. Kids had a blast in the water park. Free access. Location great for Island trip. The fireworks were a fantastic added surprise.
Location was perfect. Close to shopping, restaurants in Mackinaw City, close to ferry we booked to get to the Island, the beach. I liked the 2 bedroom suite
The hotel is located very close to all of the main attractions at Mackinaw City. It was a pleasant walk to shops and dining - nothing was too far away.
I love that it was right on the beach! I loved how big the hot tub is and I also love the location being that it’s right in the center of Mackinaw city
