Lakefront Cedar Cabin - 6, hotel in Madill

Lakefront Cedar Cabin - 6 is located in Mead. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The location was great, lakeside and very peaceful. Everything we needed was there at the cabin, it made our trip more enjoyable to stay away from the casino. We enjoy the casino but we like things a bit more peaceful after hours in the flashing lights and smoke. This spot is perfect!

The house was super cute and comfortable.

The house was super cute and comfortable. The only problem we had was we found 5 very very large spiders in the master bedroom and 1 was found in another bedroom. The back door you could see daylight at the bottom of door and I think they were coming in from there. We taped the door at the bottom while we were there. The house needs to be sprayed for bugs and the door needs to be fixed so it doesn’t have a spot where bugs can come through!. I was so freaked out the first night I couldn’t sleep as I thought spiders were going to get into the bed!

Madill is a very small town in Oklahoma, and I was there for a funeral. Thus, I didn't go there as a preferred destination. The truth is, Oklahoma's draw for me is my family. If it wasn't for them, I would happily never go to such a place.

The wife and I ate at the Country Kitchen, There was a "creek" ruining in front, but we were approved to come in the back way on a ramp that helped my wife in using her walker and not having to wade water They were friendly and served "good food" The braided zucchini was more than enough for two people. The cheeseburger and fries were enough for me. The wife liked the "small" bowl of pinto beans and cornbread too. We took most of the braided zucchini back to the Motel. We had no trouble getting around Madill, it was our stop over on the way to Tishomingo for a Family Reunion. We got lost in Tishomingo going into Town and coming out (smile).
