Our disappointment was that we were not told before booking that there was no tv service. We arrived during a major snowstorm and we’re looking forward to watching an NFL playoff game.

I made reservations for 2 nights and because of death in family we were only getting to stay one night, I called the hotel and Al’s Booking but no help from either place, the clerk told us we had to pay for two nights, and the hotel wasn’t full
Then they put us in the smallest room I have ever been into at Deury and that’s where we always stay when traveling but we are looking at other places now
Druzy does not take care of their guests

I came to see the eclipse. I have always wanted to stay at Harrah’s just to see what it was like. The room was very nice! The only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t have a microwave in it. And the bathtub didn’t drain like it was supposed to. But when I told one of the housekeepers about it & we went to check it, then I saw that it had finally drained. And I wish that the restaurant in the hotel was open longer & that you didn’t need to make a reservation for it. And I wish that the buffet was open again too! I used to eat there in the past & it was really great! I really miss it!

I was in town recently for the 2024 eclipse, but in past years I’ve visited the Superman Celebration held in June. Metropolis is a friendly town full of kitsch. Definitely visit Fat Edd’s and Sissy’s when in town for food, drink, coffee and sweets. If you like to gamble, there is Harrah’s Hotel and Casino - under the Caesar’s umbrella of casinos.

We enjoyed our stay but the restaurant was not open.
We enjoyed our stay but the restaurant was not open. We had to order from the casino grill. There were very limited options/ all fried or fast food. We had looked forward to eating in the restaurant since our friends had told us how delicious it was.

Great little river town, 6500 pop. Everyone was very nice.
Great little river town, 6500 pop. Everyone was very nice. We had a wonderful breakfast at Yesterday's Cafe & BBQ. 310 W 10th St, Metropolis, IL 62960 We never eat at Franchise Restaurant's when Traveling, always get off the beaten path and find a local restaurant to help support locally owned places, same with shopping. They serve farmed fish 7 days a week, told the wife we will be coming through next time closer to lunch for the fish.

Great town with friendly people.
Great town with friendly people. Easy to navigate and plenty of great attractions like the Superman Statue and Museum. My family and I plan to make it a regular trip there every year for the Superman Celebration in June.
No breakfast bar as advertised, only a sad sack with muffin and fruit was told due to COVID but all other hotels were serving breakfast as regular. The room was dirty , we asked for fresh linens and changed the bed ourselves. The tub was nasty and clearly had not been cleaned. Seemed to be a trap house in the next room. So many people in and out all day plus loud music and weed smoke all through the hotel. The pool area closed at 9 every night and during the day it was filled with kids so really couldn't use it.
The pet fee was very high. It cost me $80 so the fee was more then the cost of the room itself. Was not listed on the site or I would have chose another hotel. But it was late, we were tired and it was a bit far from the path so we just paid it. Pet fees should be listed up front.
Quiet location. Great staff! Hot buffet breakfast that was great and COVID-19 compliant! Love the warm cinnamon rolls and the other hot items, something that seems to be a thing of the past for other hotels due to COVID.
Location the hotel across the street will not take locals but this hotel did having the house remodled needed a place to stay for a few nights very friendly staff clean hotel
Everything! Staff was super kind and friendly. Room was clean. they had an indoor pool and Breakfast wasn’t bad! Will definitely stay here again and I recommend this hotel!
