Millionaires' Playground
A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.
The city also has its fair share of culture, including the Art Deco District, which houses the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, including some of the brightly-lit Miami Beach hotels on Ocean Drive.
Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose the Miami Beach accommodation in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.

I thought Miami Beach would be more "Beachy" but we found the beach itself a bit boring. So, we turned to the city for fun, and we found many great places to eat and hang out. The free trolley service made it easy to explore North, South, and all between. This is a great place for a few days, a bit unique from other places.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. The room/apartment is spacious and has all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect. Just be aware that it is on top of Bar Palace. For us it was not an issue, it was a plus. Roof top pool access is also a must. Perfect hotel/apartments for a stay full of activities. It is not for relaxation. You should know that if booking any stay at Ocean Drive. Thank you.

Too much traffic.
Too much traffic. Streets blocked all around due to murders during spring break. Financial disparity overwhelming. Yachts and mansions yet the working class can't pay their bills or obtain good jobs.

Lovely beach and clean and not too busy over Easter weekend.
Lovely beach and clean and not too busy over Easter weekend. Fun to watch the pelicans dive bombing for food. There was a shelf so not great for swimming that particular weekend. Left our bag and towels to swim and took all of 20 seconds for an opportunistic person to start scoping our stuff - beware of thieves (luckily I saw and ran back to our bag and towels) and try to take nothing of value or no bags to the beach at all. Despite the police presence, there appear to be opportunists about.

As a middle aged couple, South Beach seemed more in line for the younger crowd. A lot of places to eat and drink, but not much more unless you venture off of Ocean Drive. Things are a little on the expensive side, but that figures for a beach destination. We were there mostly for the beach and it did not disappoint. Weather was terrific as expected for South Florida and the locals are very friendly to tourists.
Booked this hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING…….USEFUL INFORMATION Now if your in a budget you don’t need to be in south Beach Miami NOTHING is cheap everything has a extra fee and everything is Paid parking I see a lot of comments of people complaining about price’s maybe Orlando is more budget friendly..BUT IF YOUR MONEY ANT FUNNY BOOK THIS HOTEL..GREAT FOOD GREAT DRINKS CLEAN ROOMS AND YOU GET TWO CHAIRS AND A UMBRELLA ON THE BEACH…BOOK IT TELL EM WILL TGE PHOTOGRAPHER SENT YOU
It's a super pretty boutique style hotel in South Beach. We loved the location as it was our second location in Miami beach. First we stayed a bit more to the north where we were more in the middle of the action and then we moved to this hotel which is in a more quiet area of south beach. The mix was perfect for us.
Very pretty lobby with complementary water and good coffee in the morning. Really nice outside sitting area.
Staff was friendly and helpful too.
If you go as a family and with small children this is a good place for vacations. The pool is very large, the beach is right at the back of the hotel, and there are many places to eat near the area. The room also has a small kitchen with cooking utensils. The hotel is located about 4 miles from south beach. I went on my spring break vacation and it was the best option because there were not so many people in the area. the room also has two beach chairs.
Location at the oceanfront was super. Very nice lobby and excellent breakfast. We decided to have a dinner in the hotel buffet restaurant one day and it was 100% recommendable. Great service, good variety of food and quality was really good. Dinner and breakfast exceeded my expectations. Riu personnel was a highlight for us - friendly, smiling, welcoming and always helpful. Very good job of the entire team!
L hotel was absolutely wonderful, we got a really nice room overlooking the Collins avenue side. The room was big and spacious as Bookings upgraded us to Deluxe King. We loved the mid beach area and walked everywhere. The Miami Beach shuttle to south beach is also right there. Breakfast was nice in the garden. Beach chairs and umbrella a real plus. We’re very happy with the value we received.
Location is great, south of fifth street is a nice area & closeness to the beach was awesome. Overall quiet area and the room had nice big windows. Several good breakfast places near within a decent walking distance.
The hotel also provided beach towels and a deal with Esteban's on the beach for free chairs. This was a nice touch (for umbrella you still need to pay 15 USD).
The hotel is located in a quiet, pleasant and safe area. You can walk to the main points of interest in South Beach. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The best value is the hotel staff: very friendly and always willing to help with any need we had. I want to highlight Victor (valet parking service) for his professionalism and friendliness.
Excellet location, right on Ocean drive and step away from beach. Very close to Espanyola Way and Lincoln road, and close to many good restaurants and shops,... Staff is really helpfull. Also behind the hotel is parking garage where can you park a car for 20 USD per day, what is in my opinion the cheapest deal for whole day on South Beach.
We loved this hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and have lots of advice. The decor is brilliant and the rooms were big. Rooftop pool has an excellent atmosphere and you were a 2 minute walk from south beach. On the beach you have access to sun loungers which is perfect!
Location is perfect , center of south beach , nice little pool with chill vibe and big plus for beach areas and included chairs with towels 😎 For the staff on the reception desk and lobby only the best things. all around nice charming hotel.
Location is fantastic. You are steps from the beach and you can walk to the best restaurants in south beach. The hotel runs a restaurant called La Trattoria and you can eat there with a 20% discount if you stay at the hotel.
I liked that the hotel was far away from the main "south beach" partygoers. The beach location was serene and quiet. The atmosphere was family-friendly for just sitting on the beach and enjoying the weather.
I liked that the hotel was all 'South Beach' atmosphere on the outside and yet very clean modern and efficient in the rooms.
The extra perks were very nice and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
The hotel is located directly on Ocean Drive in South Beach. The room was quite large and with a great bathroom including both a walk-in shower and a tub. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Simple yet clean rooms. Staff are nice. The pool area is lovely. The hotel is in a great location in our opinion as you don't get all the noise/chaos from the main streets in south miami beach.
The place has everything to be the best place in South Beach but the staff and the operational aspect of the hotel was just horrific! Please … DO NOT EVER STAY THERE!!!!
location was amazing at the heart of South beach. it’s a very instagramable hotel with a beautiful looking pool area and lounges. there’s pool parties on the weekend.
