Midland is absolutely beautiful!!! The staff at the hotel were super friendly. The locals....well hit or miss. I did not see many black people in the area. I hope that wasn't the reason. Several times we spoke to people in passing with no response.

Incredible architectural small town, if you’re appreciative of mid century modern. Gardens are lush. There are great driving tours of the plethora of MCM buildings, both residential and commercial. The Alden Dow home and studio is stunning. Thank you to the Dow family for the gardens, as well.

Dow Gardens--a world renowned walking garden with a delightful children's section. Grace A. Dow Memorial Library--my home away from home where computers to use are abundant and there is a room managed by the Friends of the Library to sell used books cheaply. Courteous drivers. Friendly people. Dahlia Hill and art center--one of my favorite places, especially in August when the dahlias are abloom. Downtown Midland--historic Courthouse, Santa's workshop (open WITH reindeer at Christmas time), Farmer's Market next to the Tridge (a 3-legged bridge over the 3 rivers that come together there). Eastman Avenue (a main thoroughfare) planted with flowers along its length in summer. Eastman Ave is also a route to a riot of eateries, shops, etc. Midland has among its nicknames been call "the city of churches and gas stations). A very well-run Senior Center. Large Community Center with gymnasium and swimming pool. And, one of my favorite places to walk is Chippewa Nature Center--lots of trails that are well-marked and well-maintained, a central building with a couch to watch the river and a viewing center where at high noon, I saw several varieties of woodpeckers, finches, a turkey, doves, cardinals, a blue jay, feeding at the many food stations and bathing in the brook that flows over well-placed stones. I ate at Old Chicago, Applebee's, Long John Silver's, and Big Boy.

Quaint little town, very clean and safe.
Quaint little town, very clean and safe. They have the Farmer's Market every Sat in the summer. Downtown has restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the MBC - Midland Brewing Company, food and beers were very good, fun place to go! Dow Gardens was interesting to visit too.
Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly! Breakfast was all pre-packaged due to Covid, which was fine, just could have been a few more options of muffins, cereal, etc but overall was far better than previous hotel we booked through a different chain! Will definitely stay again, we weren't even supposed to be in Midland, ended up by accident but turned out to be an awesome accident! We went to Dow Gardens also since we happened upon it and it was Amazing!!
This location was an absolute gem in Midland. A friend and I were heading north for a camping trip on our motorcycles and decided to stop and rest here. I’m so happy we did because they had underground parking with cameras, so we had some sense of security with our pride and joys ha ha… Overall this place is beautiful, the beds are super comfy you can’t go wrong staying here. Ohh and the pool is open really late so a late night swim before bed is great!

It is a beautiful hotel, comfortable, quiet. It smells so clean walking in, everything was so beautiful. The 24 hour pool and hot tub is a great added detail and it adult's only after 10.
Great location close to all that Midland Mi has to offer (close to restaurants and the mall and just down the road to the downtown). Easy parking and a good sized pool.
