So much to do. Inbetween activities, going to downtown shopping had nice stores to browse around in. We've gone to the area every season and each season has different things to do. We have gone fishing, hiking, golfing, rented UTV's and snowmobiles. So much to do. Love the area.

When we arrived, the heat was turned off in the room.
When we arrived, the heat was turned off in the room. It was below 50 degrees in there. I had to keep my winter jacket on for a while while the room warmed up. The ice outside the entry doors was dangerous. We were offered a ten percent discount on our next stay, but at $130 a night the price was already too high.

Good food and good friends, beautiful city and community,...
Good food and good friends, beautiful city and community, lots to do, pretty drives thru trees and around boundless lakes, we go 1 to 2 times a year and always find more things to do. Easy to get around the island and surrounding communities, Try Monica's pizza or holiday cafe, the boathouse, North Fork or Norwood pines, you won't be disappointed.

Close to hospital and even though we don't live in Minocqua I was I knew how to get back to 51 without going business district. Hope to be able to come and visit without going to hospital or clinic and spend the day. Beautiful country, Would have come earlier but to many things to do first at home.

Beautiful town. The Min-Aqua-Bat ski show is well done.
Beautiful town. The Min-Aqua-Bat ski show is well done. Its run by college and youth who are vacationing for the summer in Minocqua. We did the Northeastern Zip Lining which was awesome. Wish we had booked two things to do as they offered 1/2 price on the second item. I would have tried the ATV. If you like to fish or just want to rent a boat or water ski they have them available. Great fishing.
There are a variety of shops. Some include work from local artist. Once you arrive in downtown and park everything is within walking distance. Parking was free.
We ate two meals at the Boathouse which is right on the lake. There was a little wait but worth it. The Walleye was delicious. While we waited we went across the street to the realtor office as they had set up outside games - junga and corn hole. It made the time go fast.
We also ate at Murtaugh's Pub. The food was delicious and plentiful. Bring cash or you will pay a 3% fee for credit card.
We also went miniature golfing (not Holiday) and finished the game with frozen custard. Delicious. At Holiday there is horseback riding. We didn't do it this time but have in the past. The horses are well cared for.
Tastefully built & decorated with north woods theme throughout. Wow factor upon entering high-ceilinged, lodge style lobby centered around fireplace with many comfortable seating areas. Well stocked gift & convenient shop with treats, clothing, swimwear & more. Awesome, large arcade area. Variety in multiple pool areas, in and outdoor suited children & adults. Beautiful setting from curb appeal to looking out back into wooded area. Staff was extremely personable & helpful.
Overall, the hotel was wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The log cabin type decor throughout the hotel made it feel very natural to the surroundings. It was very quiet during my stay.
