On this trip we were just passing thru town and only stayed the night. I have been to Minot on several occasions and it is a small city with many restaurants and shopping facilities.
It’s a great town for a weekend stay and depending on the time of year, there are great events like the North Dakota state fair, and the famous Hostfest in September.

It was the Ludacris and T-pain concert and the ND State fair. The whole town came out to celebrate. Sports on Tap was awesome. Nice kick back. I like Minot. It's the closest to civilization in North Dakota! I really come to see my bestie.

We didn’t even stay at comfort inn in North Dakota.
We didn’t even stay at comfort inn in North Dakota. There was a mistake and the manager refused to refund our money. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. And will never use booking.com again. We were supposed to be booked in Hogansburg ny and they booked us in North Dakota. Then they refuse to refund our money.

Great events for not only adults but children too!
Great events for not only adults but children too! State Fairgrounds are great for this. Just enough to have the stores/malls that you need without having to go to a big city. Tried the Pizza Planet with 16 of us including kids and were not disappointed!
Breakfast was pretty good actually. I liked that it had the bar and gambling area right there in the open so that if needed customers could still see or interact with there company and not have to leave what they r doing or go threw some maze to get to the rest of the hotel. I absolutely love the idea of the kids pool with slides but of course it wasn't available for us to find out if it is worth it or not. I also loved the fact that it has a game area ..
I loved the staff. I was treated very well from the time I walked through the door. I checked in and any questions I had were answered respectfully and with enthusiasm. It was a clean facility inside and out. The pool was clean and orderly. The breakfast was top drawer and they made an extra set of eggs for the latecomers which I thought was an exceptional thing to do. I will be back and I intend to let my friends and co-workers know about this hotel.
Our room was fine. We requested 2 beds. It was a comfy enough. The outside temperature was quite high and by evening the air conditioner quit. The front desk staff was great and upgraded us to another room which was the king suite with no extra charges. And the air conditioning was awesome. The hotel has been around for a long time and desperately needs renovations!
Room maintence such as towel replacement, toilet paper and Kleenex was non existent. Have to hunt down staff to get fresh and we didn’t know the first day you have to ask for room cleaning so we did and nobody showed up all four days. We complained but it seemed they were either short of staff or didn’t have competent staff. Everyone was friendly and a quiet hotel.
The hotel was clean, large TV. Breakfast was simple but adequate, cereal, toast, waffles, coffee, tea and juice. Not within walking distance to anything but just a short drive to everything. Staff were pleasant. Good value for dollars spent.
The breakfast was what is expected in most motels/hotels. Husband has celiac and requires gluten free , so some gluten free bread for toasting would be nice even if frozen, and make guest aware of.
I was maybe the only person staying at the place, so it was super quiet. The hotel was clean and I had the exercise space all to myself. Plenty of parking available and the staff was friendly.
I made the mistake of not putting the number of children on my booking. The hotel staff was very friendly and understanding! I really appreciated that.
