We LOVED the Keeping Room.
We LOVED the Keeping Room. Taylor and her staff are wonderful. We had an out of this world lunch in the dining room, and found a table and mirror in her store that was perfect for our space at home. We will definitely be returning!!

The seat of Otoe County, Nebraska City offers history, beautiful neighborhoods, the home of Arbor Day, a wonderful conference center and very friendly people. On the banks of the Missouri River, the scenery is awesome. There's lots to do both indoors and out and the prices are reasonable every where you go. Don't miss the annual Apple Festival!

If you like old stuff or windmills the Kregel Windmill...
If you like old stuff or windmills the Kregel Windmill Factory Museum is a must see. Just down the road from where Lewis and Clark camped. Can't go to right now because of the floods in the Midwest.

Clean, small town but with activities to keep you busy.
Clean, small town but with activities to keep you busy. Lied Lodge is beautiful and well maintained. The dining room is relaxed yet elegant even at breakfast. The food and service was wonderful. There is a huge indoor swimming pool that has facilities to accommodate a person with physical handicaps. We were a three generation family and we all had a good time. We were planning on having a picnic when we drove into town, but a thunderstorm put the damper on this. We stopped at Kimmel Orchard and they graciously allowed us to use one of their dining tables inside the cafe that was closed for the day. Tasting their wine samples also helped! Don't leave withoutt purchasing a box of apple donuts .PatriciaUnited States
