Broadstreet Inn was beautiful. I stayed in the Carriage House and it was even better in person, beautifully decorated, clean and quaint. Great location. True to the claim it’s a 2 minute walk to Broad Street where there are shops, restaurants and bars. Really, really great place to stay.

Everything was just perfect. Great location and forest around the property. Fantastic and caring staff making us feel like home. Home made breakfast with apples from the fruit trees on the property. The room that is more spacious then it seems on pictures. Comfy beds. And extra that support the staff provided to accommodate our late night arrival. Perfect landing in US after a long transatlantic flight from Europe. Strongly recommend.

We came from Oregon to attend music events at the Miner's Foundry. This B&B was easy 7 minute walk to the music venue, so location was perfect. We loved our room "Falling Water" because the balcony was overlooking the creek and waterfall. It was so tranquil. We left a window open at night to hear the water. The proprietor, Pria, was so warm and welcoming. The morning continental breakfast was delightful and we met several nice couples who were also guests there. Everything was perfect - clean, peaceful, and affordable! We will definitely return here in the future! Thank you,, Pria.

This is a charming historic Gold Mining town with an abundance of artists and musicians. There is a vibrant foodie scene and breweries, shops, and galleries. It is quaint and scenic. There are lots of outdoor areas to explore as well. Close to Nevada City are other fun little tourist towns - Grass Valley, Auburn, and others. We could have spent many more days here. Looking through the county tourist guide, I noted that there are many fun activities going on in the area all year long. So I would advise people to contact the Nevada county (California) tourism bureau online and request a catalogue to plan a fun vacation. If you like music as we do, there is a Bluegrass Festival here and both Nevada City and it's adjoining town Grass Valley both have fine performing arts centers that attract great musicians from all of the country and the world!WendyUnited States - 2.0Scored 2.0

We didn;t spend any time in the city but if the city is anything like the motel we stayed in for one night we would never go back. We spent our time in Grass Valley and it was pleasant. People were friendly and helpful. we stayed our second night at the Grass Valley Court Yard Suites. We were very pleased with the accommodations and friendly people.

Quirky, fun Nevada City!
Quirky, fun Nevada City! So many great restaurants, bars, live music venues. We went there for a music festival. The renovated theatre in town is beautiful. The people of this city really care about their town and while there is easy access to hiking and other rural charms it is sophisticated in a way I cannot really put my finger on. The hotel is nestled in a forest of giant trees with a half-abandoned narrow gauge railway. As my daughter said, this is a very "mysterious place". The city is just 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car.
