The proprietor met us at the door to greet us and made us feel very welcome. He explained every amenity and showed us our rooms. The property and house are very nice and the room was very comfortable. For security there were digital locks for both the front door and room door for an extra piece of mind. The breakfast was simple, but very good. Being walking distance to Stone Hill Winery is a huge bonus. I look forward to staying here again! Thank you Stone Hill overlook for an amazing stay.

The view from Hermann Hill of the city, Missouri River Valley and surrounding area is truly stunning! Be sure to take the “3-Mile Walking” tour (self-guided) on your stay. It is a wonderful way to take in many of the historic sites of this amazing German immigrant founded town and enjoy the food, we enjoyed Wurst Haus, vineyards, distilleries, breweries with tasting rooms, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, antique stores, and boutique shops along the way.
If you are looking for a peaceful and restful getaway with a little adventure mixed in then Hermann Hill Inn is a rare gem that will not disappoint! Staff was absolutely wonderful and nightly complementary dessert service was a nice surprise.

I stayed in New Florence to avoid the more expensive boutique hotels in Hermann Mo.
There was a little 'dive' place for food very close to hotel. The name was literally "A Bar and Grill" Easily one of the top three burgers I've ever had. Fresh meat, cooked perfectly, juicy without being greasy--really did not expect it to be so delicious.
The hotel was dated. Close to Montgomery City that has a nice little bakery. Nice drive down to Hermann.

Never actually saw new Florence.
Never actually saw new Florence. We were going to Hermann, 15 miles away, and decided to save some money by staying at the New Florence Days Inn. Bad decision! Nothing against New Florence, but don't stay at the Days Inn!!!
