Ogdensburg is the home of the Fredrick Remington Museum , which is well worth visiting if you like painting and sculpture. The town is located on the south shore of the St Lawrence seaway, which is very scenic and near a bridge to Canada. Ogdensburg is strategically located if you need accommodations for Canton and Potsdam given that the two towns have four universities between them. main reason for the trip was to go to Alexandria Bay and tour the Boldt Castle and for a little R&R and the Stonefence Resort was mentioned to us as a nice location which in all honesty bombed out with the issues ( mainly the bathroom ) the property seems to need a lot of love TLC

We loved the quaint riverside town. Great breakfast place and the Remington Museum is a must see!!! We highly recommend a stop at this town where looking across the beautiful St. Lawrence River is Canada.GayleFrance

It had the homey check in desk, separate outdoor entrances to the rooms, outdoor activities for the kids, and so forth. The room was clean. There was a full refrigerator in my room, a sitting area, and a complete bathroom. The water pressure was great. Breakfast was good as well. Plenty of choices and a nice atmosphere to eat in. Very nice!

The food was so fresh and delicious! The rooms were gorgeous and perfectly clean! I especially loved learning about the school and the history of the many presidents who traveled to and through Ogdensburg! I absolutely recommend even if I am staying just one night it will always be here! It's truly a beautiful experience!
