This place is right off the road but still quite peaceful. Feel like you're away from everything but you are not. There are homes nearby but once the sun goes down it gets very dark and the feel of being away from everything and everyone can hit, there's a fire pit out back, and the quite can make it feel like you're in the forest. For the same price of a hotel, you can stay in a small home with all the luxuries of your own home. We just loved it.

Located in Cross Creek, 32 km from University of Florida, The Yearling Cabins provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Check-in was super easy; the Yearling texted ahead of our arrival to confirm the time and let us know where they'd put the key and how to pay the pet fee. Check-out was equally straightforward. The room was clean, and despite being near the road, was quiet. The bed was quite comfortable, too.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived, took 30 minutes for someone to clean it. Didn’t have a roll away bed despite our reservation being made for 2 adults and 3 kids.

Best hotel in Ocala. Really 5 star! Comfy beds and beautiful bathroom. The environment is terrific. It has a nice pastry shop selling patissier made cakes etc.
