We enjoyed our stay and the staff were terrific. Two things would have made our stay even better: a complimentary continental breakfast and their main restaurant open. It was not open on Sunday or Monday and we could not take advantage since we had made other evening plans for dinner on our other days prior to departure.

The location is wonderful. Although it is a dorm arrangement you have private bedroom and shared bathroom, restroom , full kitchen, sitting areas and outdoor space. My room also had a fridge. The bedroom is very simply furnished but perfectly comfortable. Owners are very responsive to text questions and helpful. Makawao - nearby town is a great little historic town and the countryside is lush.

Wonderful spacious studio for 2 people. Could easily have fit another. Liked the extra futon couch. Nice big bathroom. Nice size dining table with 4 chairs. Decent studio style cooking facilities and stainless pots/pans. Place was clean, all bedding was clean, place had broom and towels and sponges. Big enough apartment style building so that other guests seemed adequately separate. Decent amount of space to dry wet towels/water gear. Internet was decent. Hosts were very responsive to questions that I texted. Closets and rack for luggage. Some beach gear in garage, like flippers, goggles, a few boogie boards, beach chairs. Quiet residential neighborhood

Ivana was an amazing host! Her and her family were probably the best part of choosing this accommodation, they were incredibly kind and great energy. Ivana gave us a comprehensive list of recommendations from a locals perspective which was very useful. Her daughter spent time after her busy work day cracking open a coconut for us which shows the level of care and effort they put in to their guests. We would highly recommend staying here just for the chance to meet Ivana and her family, we know we would 100% stay here again if back on Maui!
About the room; we had booked the business room with shared enmities but got upgraded to the private suite due to booking.com double booking that room. The private studio was spacious, it had everything we needed, we could have cooked several meals there but chose to eat out, and the bed was super comfortable.

Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants.
Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants. Shops all close at 6 pm. More breakfast places would be nice. Parking can be challenging. I did enjoy the town but I probably will not return to Paia. It was more crowded than expected.

We liked that we were in a small hotel in a small 'touristy' town. The location is almost ideal for travel to Hana and the National park. The unit was spacious and more than adequate for short stays. There is no TV in the unit which was fine with us. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and we had breakfast there but it is open into the early evening. The small town is full of "cute" stores and other casual eating choices with just a short walk.
The only drawback is the traffic backup at the single traffic light. It can take 5-10 minutes to get thru the light.

Excellent shopping and restaurants, beautiful beaches.
Excellent shopping and restaurants, beautiful beaches. Mana health foods was excellent for those who don't want to spend the money going out for every meal. They have a huge variety of food including a hot bar.
SO many great shops, and cafe's too.

Paia is a great place to stay one night before your drive the road to Hana. Other than that, there really isn't much to do in the town. There are better beaches in Maui. We stayed 3 nights and could've done just one and been fine.

Great little town. A very cool relaxed vibe throughout.
Great little town. A very cool relaxed vibe throughout. Lots of places to eat and drink with great food throughout. The Flatbread cafe for pizza and the RocknBrew bar for a sensational range of beers on tap
Paia Inn was the perfect first
night for us on Maui. Lucy was so welcoming, showing us to our room and explaining all the amenities that the inn provided. The kombucha was a nice treat for us too! There was live music from the restaurant at the back of the inn, and a lovely private walkway that was lit by string lights that led to a fire pit above the beach. The room was cozy, and charming, and the comfy bed was just what we needed after traveling 13 hours from Chicago. It was just perfection! Thank you❤️
The location was superb in all respects! it was in the heart of town so we could walk to restaurants and shops. The back side of the property was on the ocean with the choice of setting up on the beach or in a secluded grassed area. Our room was meticulously kept with the appropriate amenities, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We initially stayed here because it was close to the airport, and were thrilled with how nice it was!
Now "the argument" is: COVID:
"Because of COVID we don't clean up the room": What is that?!
Nowadays is when we need the must cleaning the installations, and of course, the rooms.
Well, we as costumers don't pay a special price (less, for example) "because of COVID". Well, but the hotel just gives that service one day.
Terrible! Everybody is trying to recovery from COVID crisis, but not taking advantage of the services for costumers, right?
Rooms are not that big, but it was lovingly furnished and staff was super friendly. Access to the beach was awesome and a nice place to relax and drink some beers. if you are lucky you will find some cute surprises laying at the beach. Leaving Paia Inn and this lovely place made us really sad. For us first choice once we will be back.
Why Paia? It is not Lahaina, but super central for whole Maui. You reach every place in relatively short time.
Great spacious flat with comfortable bed and very well equiped kitchen and living room. Very clean.
We had access to beach equipements (seats, towels) and there was a very nice beach just near the condo (we saw turtles!).
The airport and Paia are easily accessible by car. We had a free parking spot just in front of the condo.
Paia Inn is a charming Inn in a great location. Room was small but nice and the bedding was comfortable. The staff was great. We enjoyed the beautiful beach behind the inn and we could walk to the local shops and restaurants. Coffee bar in the common area upstairs was nice. It was a unique non-chain experience.
It was a last minute reservation but the room was ready before the official check in time. We had no issues securing a parking spot despite how busy the area is. The hotel has access to a secret beach - great for sunset. Tea, coffee and water available in shaded area. I slept like a baby - not a rooster in sight.
The condo was comfortable, well equipped and has nice big outdoor area just after the small town of Paia, it was a nice chilled break in our holiday, Close to famous Mama’s fish house and Kuau Cove where we saw turtles.
The access to the beach and the back of the hotel with the nice garden are beautiful. Paia is a cute little town and the Paia Inn is located right in the middle of downtown. It’s close to restaurants and shops.
hard to rate. lots of deferred maintenance but the view from our room was wonderful. it’s billed as a ‘hip hotel’ but I would say more funky than hip. bed and linens nice-we had great sleeps. staff helpful.
Location was walkable to restaurants and close to airport
