This was a great location right within Death Valley NP.

This was a great location right within Death Valley NP. It's a historical feel, stepping back in time but that includes the amenities and comfort level. The restaurant was quite good. The rooms were "spartan". Beautiful setting for stargazing and sunrise.

The location was the only thing good about it.

The location was the only thing good about it. The restaurant staff was friendly. The menu was extremely short. Front desk never ask why i wasn't staying and never sugested a up grade at any price. The advertised futon was a board with 2" foam on it. There is only one place to eat.

Folks - This is a REMOTE LOCATION... From the check-in (at the local store) to morning coffee and the egg sandwiches, the restaurant on the property, the location, etc... all was just beyond perfect for us... The staff were very helpful and most friendly with suggestions and guidance on Death Valley. ALL exceeded our expectations, and we're already planning our next trip!

I have been Death Valley over 6 times.

I have been Death Valley over 6 times. This is our first time stay here. Love they are using rocks to device with others too keep distance with next door. They have picnic table and fire place set up. It is very convenience. Bathroom open 24 hours. No worry shower at night to bother people and wait line. But wish they have more bathroom though. I definitely will come back again next year.

This is a decent place, I would definitely stay here again.

This is a decent place, I would definitely stay here again. There are a few points of interest and hiking in the area. The drive into the main part of Death Valley is straightforward, but the mountain road going toward Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek area is paved but steep. The motel people reported cars overheating even in the winter time. Remember there is no cellphone service in the entire park.

We rented a tent for 2 nights so as to sleep a little above Death Valley in October (cooler) and still to be able to drive to Furnace Creek and tour the park highlights in one day. (1 hr to Furnace Creek) and then drive back to Lone Pine (45 minutes) so my friend could get the bus/train to LA early the next morning. the location worked perfectly for these goals. But I actually moved into and slept in the car both nights because the wind made so much noise due to the tent flapping. My friend slept on the leeward side of the tent which was quieter. Our second night late arriving campers were very noisy. But it was easier than bringing our own tent and putting it up in the dark in a campground, they have fire rings and tables and the bathrooms were very clean. We brought Thermarest mattresses to make the cots better and our own sleeping bags and pillows. The signage to find the tents is tricky, Look for the RV sites signage on the north side of the road.
