There is really nothing in Pevely - I drove around in it a few miles each way on the 'main' roads, all I found for food was a Taco Bell and a Domino's near the Super 8 - staying within a mile or two. I didn't find any 'mom and pop' type restaurants like some would expect to find near I-55,
and I did drive around a bit scouting for a place for breakfast in the AM. There may be some there, I did not find them.

Pevely is a very small town and very safe.
Pevely is a very small town and very safe. There isn't much open late at night besides the 24hr laundry mat, the truck stop which is massive with a decent amount of different food options and 1 other gas station so it is a super quiet town also. It does only have 1 hotel and that is the Super 8. If you book a room there online just make sure to call and confirm your stay. That is the only issue I had was I booked online and the hotel was completely sold out unfortunately. During the day the normal fast food restaurants are there to eat at and a small grocery store. Surrounding Pevely does have a lot of adventures to explore. So take a few days or a weekend and visit Mastodon State Park (both locations), Dunklins Grave, Kimmswick (early on the weekends) The Covered Bridge, Villa Antonio Winery, etc. All places that are filled with beauty, knowledge and history. Just don't forget your camera!!

This hotel was nasty!!
This hotel was nasty!! We had checked in earlier and went to the ballgame. They were still cleaning so we didn't go to room at that time. When we got back there was still a Taco Bell cup and trash on the floor. I did check for bed bugs and there was none. That was the only positive. The next morning when I threw the covers back there was an insect carcass on the sheets. The floor was sticky and overall just horrible. If it wasn't so late I would have left and found a different room

This place is disgusting.
This place is disgusting. There were empty pill capsules on the floor of the bathroom from geusts before us doing drugs. The floors hadn't been cleaned clearly from all the dirt on them besides the pill capsules we saw. There was a folded up used towel in the bathroom for us to shower with, I could smell another person's perfume and see a makeup smudge on it. The shower was dirty. TV didn't work because it said it had no signal. No mini fridge. Breakfast was almost gone within an hour of it starting and they don't add more for anyone to get breakfast. This place needs to be shut down asap. They rob you of your money. The owner and workers should feel ashamed and embarrassed in their work ethic and ability to properly run a hotel. This place is a joke and disgusting. Never again.

Paula and rest of staff were great and always polite.
Paula and rest of staff were great and always polite. Bedding was incomplete or damaged. Not enough towels, pillows, or luggage carts. Not much in Peverly but if you go to Arnold just up 55 there is everything without the price or covid restrictions.

The comforter was stained so I tried to call the front desk but the phone wouldn’t work. The floor was buckled and the ceiling was stained and worrisome. Dogs were barking all night and doors were slamming. The floors were filthy and I mopped them with a towel and it was black afterwards. A roach crawling on the wall. Not a good night rest and I will not stay again. I have requested a rate decrease but have not received one as yet
