Very handy location on the seafront close to the Black Ball (Victoria) ferry; and also close to the town centre with many eating options. The Red Lion is essentially a large good quality motel.

Every aspect of the Olympic Lodge exceeded our expectations, from communications beforehand, to the excellent staff, beauty of the. gathering area, the spectacular view of the golf course behind, and the spaciousness and comfort of the room. Location was excellent to get on the ferry, and restaurant recommendations were perfect. We are planning on staying here again next year.

Everyone was very friendly. We didn't realize but a healthy breakfast was included. After checking out they kept our backpacks secure so we could go bike riding. The facilities were clean and it was very quiet.

We were only there two evenings, but were unhappy with both restaurants that we chose for dinner. They were identified as the best or better ones in town. However, we did not enjoy it. We really would’ve enjoyed some good seafood. Decision to stay there was only to see high Ridge in the Olympics and it was fantastic.

Although we were only there for 1 night as we moved on to Vancouver Island the following day, Port Angeles seemed to have the quaintness of a small town, but with plenty of facilities. Obviously the proximity to Olympic NP & ferry services are the main plusses.

Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas...
Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas you would like to visit. Many places are closed at the beginning of the week. Cruise ship comes in and that makes restaurants really busy at dinner time. Plan ahead if you want to eat somewhere nice. Kokopelli Grill was nice and food was good but getting a seat took awhile. Some people couldn’t be seated. Try to get the shuttle that goes to Hurricane Ridge then you can go anytime. If you are a car, you’ll have to get up there early.

Stayed in Port Angeles because it was so close to Hurricane Ridge in the national Park. Had dinner at Joshua's restaurant next to the Super 8. The pictures hanging on the walls of the restaurant are good enough to be in an art gallery--very impressed!

I'm weird because I love clouds and rain, and I hate heat. P.A.has my ideal climate.
The town is just the right mix of city and suburbs. The houses and neighborhoods are all so cute and wonderful. I am seriously considering moving there.
Best restaurant: New Day Eatery
Best american breakfast: Chestnut Cottage
The location was great for accessing port Angeles, just a short walk (about 10-15mins) or a quick drive in. The reception staff were nice when I checked in and check out was quick as I could just leave my key in a drop box. The room was fine and the shower was hot and high pressure. Just what I needed to go on some great hikes in the national park! It's a little basic but value for money is great.
The receptionist gave us a warm welcome when we arrived a little later in the evening and even checked on us while we were still on our way to Port Angeles. The room was nice and cozy and had everything we needed for our two-night stay. The location is perfect and close to the harbor and from there you can start your trip for the day into Olympic National Park. Would definitely stay here again!
Gorgeous sea view in a beautiful garden full of lovely blossoms. Natural habitat shared with eagles and deers up the undeveloped beach. Landlords are friendly and make great breakfast. Convenient location, next to a road of Lavender farms, close enough to great winery and restaurants in Sequim, hikes in Port Angeles. And of course, room is very clean. Love the Jacuzzi.
Very nice place. Feels like you are at a fancy lodge in the national park. Fireplace in the lobby with living room style space for relaxing. Beautiful views. Nice staff and clean luxury rooms. Comfortable bed, linens and pillows. Really was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. Close to downtown Port Angeles for good food and shops. We will be back.
The person who checked us in didn't seem trust worthy, he tried to charge us an additional person charge, when I had disclosed when I made the reservation the number of guests we would have. When I refused, he shrugged and said, I don't care, it isn't my money. The servers in the breakfast area were great, very friendly and attentive.
Excellent location, close to downtown and the ferry terminal. The staff were very accommodating during check in. We stayed in the unrenovated part of the hotel which was just fine for our stay. The renovation looks great. Highly recommend this hotel for visiting Port Angeles and for ferry trips to Victoria!
Least expensive thing I could find in Port Angeles this time of year. Close to several restaurants downtown. Free parking. Biggest TV I've ever had in a rental room. Beds were very firm. Had a guest laundry. Full refrigerator.
Room was very clean and the bathroom was quite nice. I could walk over to a gas station in the morning and grab a breakfast sandwich. It was only a short drive to quality restaurants.
Port Angeles is a great base for both travel to Victoria B.C. on the Blackball ferry and visiting Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. The hotel was convenient to both.
Port Angeles was a two day base of operations to see Olympic National Park and Victoria, BC. It was located close to restaurants and the usual facilities you want on a trip.
