We stayed at Port Clinton to go to Put-in-Bay and our hotel was walking distance to the dock as well as stores and restaurants and a park on the waterfront. Overall, we had a lovely stay, though parts of the town have seen better days.

I was staying in Port Clinton with my family for a nearby soccer tournament. We did not feel comfortable in the area as there was a lot of riff-raff. When I went to my car in the morning, there were 3 men smoking weed and drinking vodka in the parking lot - at 7 am! Next time I will go back to staying closer to Sandusky.

Very sweet little town on Lake Erie.
Very sweet little town on Lake Erie. I love this place has a very coastal feel along with the small town quaintness. I love the coffee shops here! R coffee corner and Coffee Express are AMAZING and some of the shops downtown are exceptional, Moonwycks was a nice shop but the Fora Island Ideas shop took the cake! The girl behind the counter was so pleasant and kind to my daughter, it wont be forgotten. It was really special meeting someone as kind as her. We will be back next year for sure!

THE JET EXPRESS IS LOCATED THERE, SO ITS EASY TO GET TO THE ISLANDS. THERE A NUMEROUS RESTAURANTS AND RETAIL SHOPS TO LOCALLY PURCHASE FOOD AND SUPPLIES. THE TOWN ITSELF IS VERY EASY TO WALK AROUND AND HAS MANY SMALL SHOPS. TRAFFIC WAS NOT TO BUSY FOR THE MIDDLE OF TEH WEEK
Breakfast was good. Had something for everyone in our family. Had to ask staff a couple times for stuff replaced but once they knew it was provided for example more eggs and the trash was full one morning. We also asked for another blanket and extra towels and they was provided promptly. The only thing was they had road construction in front of the hotel which made for late nights and early mornings due to the sound but not fault to the hotel. My kids favorite was the pool!
Didn't realize we booked handicap room and we could not change due to booking thru booking.com. Shower was terrible, mold, rust and leaked under the floor out to the entrance to the room. Breakfast choices were very limited and coffee ran out and was not refilled several times. Women employees were not very friendly but male employee at front desk was great. Will never recommend this hotel and it will make me think twice about any holiday inn
Downtown Port Clinton location was great. Walk across the street to the Jet Express terminal meant no driving and no parking issues. Mini ice maker in the room was a great feature! Comfortable bed, great view of the lake and sunrise over the Lake Erie park. Host was easy to talk with via text when needed. A golden nugget that we will use again for future travels!
This is a great little place to stay! Close to many attractions and the ferry. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. It was very enjoyable to sit right outside my room in the evening to smoke. No long walks out the hotel, thru a lobby, to stand in the sun. Will definitely stay here on return trips to the area.
They were just reopening the first night I was there. Had us go over the other hotel for breakfast. as time went on it got better. Since I was birding most of the time, the room was ok. There was a microwave and refrigerator which I used to make a quick breakfast. The view of the lake was nice,
I like the people and the way it's set up I always choose to stay here any time I just need a brake from the kids or a date night out on the town I live in portclinton so I know a lot about it and the places but this is my go to hotel the prices are good and the rooms come with high quality
The bed and pillows were amazing! Best nights sleep! Hot water! Air conditioner was amazing! Parking behind the hotel was nice. So close to everything, restaurants, shops, marinas, bars, etc. Location was perfect for our first over night stay in Port Clinton.
The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. They offer free breakfast. Although I didn't eat it, it smelled good. I love Port Clinton. It's where I like to stay when I come up to the lake.
Location and proximity to downtown Port Clinton was nice. Being next to a Wendy's made it extremely comfortable to get a late night snack. Overall, the room and bed were nice and definitely worth the price.
Hotel is right on the lake. I got some terrific Jonathan Livingstone Seagull photos at sunrise. Breakfast was exceptional, best hotel eggs ever according to my teenager.
It's a nice clean room with a nice pool and great staff. It's within a 10 minute walk to the jet express or downtown Port Clinton. I would highly recommend it.
We went up to fish and needed two beds and a bath. The room seemed recently updated and the price was much less than similar ‘fishing’ hotels in Port Clinton.
