Poteau is the cutest little town in the boonies of Oklahoma, the people are amazingly nice and the views are stunningly beautiful. There is a road that circles around Cavanal that is one of the most beautiful drives. Not to mention the amazing view from atop Cavanal. If your looking for a relaxing and friendly place to vacation Poteau would be the perfect place!

The room and scenery was awesome, lake right out the window with furnished grill, fire pit, picnic table, porch, breezeway. Also the room had a kitchenette, eating table, comfortable loveseat, and great a/c heater. Our only complaint was the bed. It was a full size mattress, hard, and bouncy. That won't keep us from returning. We now have the information and can ensure we get the correct room.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0
We liked the city of Poteau.
We liked the city of Poteau. The people were very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of restaurants and a variety of types so that we had something different to eat each day. The city was centrally located for checking out the state parks we were interested in.

Poteau, Oklahoma is a nice small town of 10,000+ people nestled in and near Cavanaugh Mountain and Lake Wister and Kerr Lake. Great outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, swimming and skiing, boating, and site seeing is always on the radar. During the summer and fall holiday season, many local and area festivals can be found to enjoy. Fall Foliage Tours are a BIG VENUE item to put on your list of things to do - especially near Talihina, Oklahoma.

I Did not like being ask my card pin#, TV kept messing up , was not giving a Wi-Fi access number but other than that the place was very clean, paint was good, room was big and comfortable and the price was right.

They included wifi, flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, and hairdryer. The pool was great :) They provided extra towels for the pool at no additional charge and they are also pet friendly.
