Smaller, more intimate than Gloucester, but still accessible to Boston by commuter rail. Large selection of local artisan wares. Managed to snag a reservation at My Place By the Sea. Would revisit but not before also trying places more frequented by locals.

A charming town with much to see and do in and around the town. Excellent food options. We especially loved the lobster rolls and fries at Bearskin Neck Bistro and the donuts at the Brothers Cafe. Shalin Liu Performance Center and the Paper House were two places not to miss. And you can't leave Rockport without seeing Motif #1.

Loved - quaint downtown, views, coastal walks.
Loved - quaint downtown, views, coastal walks.
Didn’t like - no parking at Long Beach and other beaches near there except for pricey and overfilled private lots. Next time I’ll be bringing my bike to avoid the traffic and parking.
Restaurant hours are limited. Every place is booked solid or closed.

There are seafood places to eat every where with water views. The only downfall is the traffic during the summer. I probably wouldn't go again until just after Labor day, but I would definitley go back again. Ate at Mile Marker 1 and Seaport Grille which had awesome food. Pricey, but good. Well worth it!

The Seafarer is an immaculate, comfortable, and welcoming...
The Seafarer is an immaculate, comfortable, and welcoming inn. The room was spacious with a wonderful foam mattress and a small kitchenette. The public spaces are comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied.
The vintage of the beautiful old hotel located right on the shore. Our room looked right at the ocean with a large window so we could easily watch the boats and ducks on the shoreline. Our room was gorgeous with lovely antique furniture the bathroom was was very up to date there was a full refrigerator right outside our door. The breakfast was made to order each day and served in the porch of the hotel. The hotel was conveniently located close to Rockport center. The staff was very helpful.
We cannot wait to return to the Seafarer Inn! Cape Ann is one of my favorite spots and the Inn is in a quiet location close to the ocean. The room was super clean and very comfortable as was the whole property. The breakfast each day was delicious. We enjoyed walking the Old Garden Path into Rockport proper each day. The owners are awesome and we enjoyed talking to them. You cannot go wrong staying here!
Incredible location- picturesque and convenient, within a short walk of all the best that historic Rockport has to offer.
Nice apartment- very attractive, spacious (for a couple), nicely appointed, well-equipped, cozy and welcoming.
Had no problem finding free street parking when we were there in mid/late October.
Management responded immediately to a texted request (for wi-fi password).
Nice variety at breakfast, shared table with friendly tourists. Very close to the main places of interest in Rockport. Host was very knowledgeable about the region, restaurants, etc. Rockport is not far from other points of interest in the larger area as well. We enjoyed the verandah - a pleasant place to read and watch the world go by.
And, we enjoyed Emmie and Libby, too!
The hotel is close to everything. Just a short drive away and you're at a beach, restaurant, you name it. We were very close to Gloucester so you can enjoy both Rockport and Gloucester during your stay.
The room was clean and right next to the pool and fire pit.
We were also glad to be able to bring our small dog with us
This place was beautiful and clean, I did not realize that they did not have any on-site staff or concierge, I have never stayed at a hotel without a reception area, I was also thinking about safety. For the price that I paid I would prefer onsight staff vs a beautiful place to stay, location was very nice as well
Loved the location, the Inn was adorable. The decor was beautiful and very welcome.
Breakfast was great.
Friendly service.
Close to downtown Rockport. A cute coastal town with shops. I will definitely visit again.

Our room was really clean and comfortable. Loved the decor. Breakfast was great - so easy to order upon arrival and ready outside our room the next morning! Would highly recommend staying here. Walking distance to Rockport shops and restaurants
The view was wonderful and inspiring, very relaxing! You can’t beat the breakfast, outstanding.
We would have liked to have more information on things to do in the area. We were not aware of any special services offered by the hotel.
The staff was amazing and the accommodations were wonderful! We will absolutely be returning for another stay, in the very near future, for a longer stay next time so we can enjoy the beauty of The Eagle House and the lovely Rockport.
The room was large, the heated pool was great, very convenient lo downtown Rockport, easy walking distance from the train station. Dog friendly was a big plus for us. Outdoor space was very nice.
This Guest House is perfection. Everything is so well thought out. The furnishings and decoration alone, are a feast for the eyes. We would return in a heartbeat. We also loved Rockport.
