My son lives here.
My son lives here. It’s a beautiful community with historic homes, lovely parks, river, kids riding bikes, everyone is friendly. It’s almost Mayberry. So much to see and do. Great restaurants, and not the same old chains. Small business is honorable and thriving.

Salida is a cute town full of historical elements. It is a great place to lay back and have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. It is small but big enough to get away from the city life. There is much to do here, as it is the heart of the rockies! Salida is a great place to go.

Salida is a great mountain town that is dog and skater friendly and has a thriving art scene and modern downtown district. Also, located near so many great mountain attractions: Monarch Pass, Mount Princeton Hot Springs, golf, numerous hikes and biking trails, and of course the best, Great Sand Dunes! I would recommend a stay here to anyone! (Try to stay a week because a long weekend just isn't enough.)

Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room.
Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room. We were travelling with our dog and that was accepted, maybe for that we got a larger room at the side which was prefect. They had a to go breakfast and Coffee and Juice to get you out the door in the morning. We enjoyed our stay, we went skiing for 3 days and it was the perfect place. Walking Distance to some restaurants, a park/playground. My daughter left her beloved stuffed animal and they texted us about it and send it back to us, which was so wonderful!

Salida is a delightful town.
Salida is a delightful town.
We loved Currents Restaurant and Riveting Experience Jewelry - we got to design and make our own jewelry pieces... great experience for a group.
Love the walk around the river and delightful shops downtown.
Don’t be put-off by the ‘Hostel’ here. This is a hostel with private rooms as well . The rooms are clean, and very comfortable. You can access the hostel’s kitchen and every morning there is coffee and home baked muffins.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us lots of info on where to eat and what to do.
The hostel is an easy walk into Salida, which is a beautiful town and a great place just to hang out
This is an absolutely beautiful property. Gorgeously decorated, extremely comfortable furnishings, very spacious. 180 degree views of valley, mountains and sky. Very secluded and private and QUIET. We prepared all our own meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. Easy to find. Just a really lovely home. The pictures online don't even do this place justice! It's the best place I've ever stayed in Salida.
The whole design concept was great. The retro feel worked, and the little red mini fridge was cute as a button. The bed was great, there was a hairdryer, and toiletries, and the shower was wonderful. towels were plush. Nice place. The check in gal sent me to a great place for dinner and I really loved that recommendation.
I will stay here again when I return to Salida!
Great location! Staff was very friendly every time we interacted. Upgraded our room for free. Room was very nice. Clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable! Hotel and area felt very safe. Hot tub was wonderful after our long days. Very clean! View from hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was small but worked for us. Would gladly stay here again!!
We had a remodeled room that was exceptionally clean with a new door locking system. It was very user friendly and the entire property was very well kept and clean. Breakfast was standard motel fare. The historic area of Salida down near the river is quite charming and we very much enjoyed our stay.
This is a very well maintained and clean older hotel with a lot of country artistic touches. Very basic, but a very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was a standard, serve yourself continental, and was OK. The couple that own/manage it are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.
Second time booking a stay at this property and it's the perfect location downtown Salida within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the river. The place was exactly as shown in the picture and the kitchen is well stocked. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and accommodating.
The owners are lovely people and gave us good advice for dining in Salida. They are new owners and have created a nice courtyard for grilling and lounging, garden, and a little stream runs through it. They have plans for upgrades and special features like sauna and soaking pool.
This is a Lovely little motel. It is older, but seems like it has been redone recently. It is spotlessly clean. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and they are very pet friendly. It’s easy walking distance town and there’s a Trail tomorrow. Highly recommend.
Room was very clean and furnished better than I expected. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Exceeded my expectations for a hotel rated only 2 stars. Made up for some other poor experiences at other hotels on this trip.
Silver Ridge is always our go-to when we’re in Salida. The staff is always super friendly, the location is convenient, the rooms (and entire property) are always clean, the beds are comfy and you can’t beat the price!
So Very Clean!! Very pet friendly and we really appreciate a clean, pet friendly hotel. Loved having a kitchen area with nice coffee pot and everything you need to make Breakfast and more.
