It was a room. At the end of the day that’s what I paid for. But only one electrical outlet worked. When we requested a repair it was not accomplished. The WiFi did not work. It took (4) phone calls to the front desk to get the TV to work. The hotel advertised a hot continental breakfast, but only offered cut up muffins and cold cereal. It was just a room. That was the only true accomplishment. Actually, the water pressure and heated water was good as well.
Great, small California Mission town. Best Japanese food, fantastic taqueria at the grocery store, Lapperts Ice Cream shop, many antique stores, interesting clothing stores. Lots of early California heritage— the mission, it’s grounds and the town. Lovely, peaceful town. One of our favorite stops when traveling south.

A tiny little town with a lot of interesting options.
A tiny little town with a lot of interesting options. There was some shopping, including quite a few antique/junk stores. The bakery was great, as were the beer and wine options. Restaurant selections and coffee at Vertigo were good too. Music was great at wine/beer bar. The mission is a sad place of history, yet something that you should see. We hiked up Fremont Peak and it was a good one. Beautiful view. You can easily spend a weekend in SJB.

We stopped over in San Juan Bautista on our way to Highway 1 and San Diego. Pleasant easy to walk small town full of early California history that is located in the beautiful San Juan Valley. Had an excellent (and huge!) flavorful vegan burrito full of a good selection of different veggies at Jardines de San Juan. Menu options for vegetarians/vegans appear to be quite limited in San Juan Bautista from what we observed.

SJB is a quaint little mission town.
SJB is a quaint little mission town. Dinner at Jardines with some local friends made it even more special. I lived nearby 21 years ago and was glad to see that the only obvious change was the main street--the change was the only good thing I've seen in the wake of March 2020. Besides a newer housing development just outside of town, it was nice that SJB remains the same. Kudos to them for keeping it small.

Beautiful city! We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful city! We enjoyed our stay. My friend, son, and our puppy had fun walking around San Jaun Bautista Mission. Park Rangers are friendly and said good morning to us.
Due to COVID most places to eat are closed, but there is take out available.

Posada de San Juan is a charming, well located hotel in San Juan Bautista. It had large rooms with balconies, fireplace and a large jacuzzi bathtub. The lobby and atrium were bright with lots of plants and nicely decorated. The continental breakfast was simple but with good choices. They also have a nice outside courtyard with comfortable seating. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, especially at night! We were hoping to find a central coast getaway spot for periodic trips north. Not sure this will be "the place" given the negatives (see below). Too bad, because the overall setting of the hotel should/could have been quite relaxing.
This was the first time we have stayed in a hotel in 16 months! It was perfect. Clean. Comfortable. Relatively quiet. Very pleasant staff. Courtyard lit up at night was very romantic. Loved the fields of sweet peas a block over. Heavenly scent in the air
Beautiful property and super close to Mission San Juan Bautista. Very quiet area to stay in and Hollister is not too far to drive to. We stayed there so we could get to Pinnacles NP easily and it was very easy to get in and out. A hidden gem!

A pleasant surprise for this area. The story behind the hotel is priceless, built with vision and love - still maintained by family. I loved my large room with fireplace to enjoy. The owners were so welcoming and helpful.
Loved the style and decor of the hotel, especially the fountains, furniture, artwork, plants, layout and design. The staff was very friendly and liked the fact that the place was family owned/run and family friendly.
Nice hotel for a one night stop-over. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but this is what makes it good. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere and comfortable rooms.
This hotel is very clean, the staff was very accommodating and liked the breakfast in the morning. Very cute courtyard and really like that they are pet friendly!
The architectural design of this hotel is awesome! Every piece of furniture fits to the enterior. The Garden is very beautiful also. The staff is super nice.
