Poor is all I can say. The first conversation with receptionist was very negative and she was rude. The hotel is past its sell by date and needs a major refit, looks old and tiered by European standards.

We drove around looking for places to walk and to take photos. Nauset Lighthouse and beach nearby are great for visiting for beach walks and taking photos. The car park has plenty of spaces. My husband got very lucky catching the sunset behind the old railway bridge at Buzzards bay. Local photographer told us the sun sets behind that bridge only 2 days in October, and we happened to be there on one of those. We ate at The Local tavern next to the Sandwich Hotel and Resort where we stayed. Great service and very tasty food (baked cod was excellent). We spent one full day in Provincetown on the very edge of Cape Cod. Although there were no cruises on that day due to weather conditions, the marina and the beach were very pleasant for walking. The little town was full of tourists inspecting jewellery and gift shops. There is a Pilgrim monument and historical museum worth visiting.

Sandwich is a delightful village never changes.
Sandwich is a delightful village never changes. I lived here for 25 years and it was like coming home. We had a family reunion here at my brother's home. Went to Heritage Garden's. My husband loved the antique cars in the car barn. I had the best piece of Haddock at Seafood Sams.

Sandwich is a nice little area that is close enough to things to see yet, not in the hustle and bustle. The Army Corp, or engineers is right there and something to check out. It is free as well. There are beaches all around. We were 20 minutes from Plymouth. Boston was an hour and a half. Provincetown was an hour. Lots to check out.

Sandwich is a quaint little town with cafes n a restaurants.
Sandwich is a quaint little town with cafes n a restaurants. One restaurant we enjoyed was Bar Burger right in Main Street n Sams Seafood which was delicious; (good service, good prices n delicious food). Katherine the inkeeper recommended Sandy Neck Beach which was a gem. We visited the other local beaches and didn’t like them as much as Sandy Neck. There are bathrooms n showers n I believe a snack shop which was closed when we were there as it was off season. There is a Fee to enter but worth it. The beach is located in Barnstable 10 minute ride from Sandwich.

Stayed the weekends with friends and family.
Stayed the weekends with friends and family. We visited a few winerys, few distilleries and a few brew pubs. Beautiful location with easy access to major highways. Within 1/2 miles either was grocery store, ice cream place and restaurant.
Nice to be able to walk out into the open air not into a hallway. Inside is cute, decorated well, good light, a window that opens, plenty of A/C, fan, etc. Bathroom is a good size - beds could be a bit more comfortable but aren't horrible. Cute place, nice grounds, there's a little hammock in the back of the property that was nice to swing on, and the breakfast is good - better than the continental at most hotels (fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese & meat, and the usual).
Easy on, easy off location for Cape Cod. Just minutes from the Sagamore Bridge, near historic Rt. 6A. House was full of character, yet updated and extremely clean. Ed is a very gracious host. He was there to meet us and provide for any questions we had about the house, and very responsive when we reached out via text. I don't know that we've stayed in a cleaner home before. Highly recommend!
The personal service and the staff with a lovely, gracious and friendly manner. The exceptional standard of breakfast - it is unlike anything you could get anywhere else - every day a different selection of breakfast courses is served home cooked by Katherine! Location on Main St means you can visit all of Sandwich's historic places on foot and parking is provided on site.
The hotle is well situated with ample free parking and wifi. Room and staff I interacted with were very nice. proved to be an ideal location for exploting Cape Cod and there are some excellent restaurants close by for meals. Hotel provided a good selection for breakfast.
The property was extremely accommodating with all the essentials if needed, such as Q-tips, cotton swabs, an extra toothbrush/toothpaste etc. It felt just like home with pillows and areas rugs and not sterile. I will return and/or recommend to family and friends.
Lovely grounds for this hotel, and really pretty and clean room. Not far from the beach and a great Italian restaurant across the street. The managers were both really nice when I met them in the morning.
We liked that the hotel had free parking available just outside the room. The location is nice, in a green area. The breakfast was also good, but it was sweet only, not a continental one.
Katherine the owner was warm and welcoming. She makes the best breakfast. The room was old of course but well kept and clean, comfortable bed. Great location. Would stay again.
