We visited Sausalito Sunday and Monday during spring break. Sausalito is full of live, people shopping, walking around. However, only after 11-12. In the morning everything is closed... no one on the streets. We were wondering where everyone was.

Wonderful place to stay!
Wonderful place to stay! Planned on going to the city however never got there. Spent a lot of time at Ft. Baker, another nice place!
Always go to Spinacker for dinner, really disappointing, like a cafeteria now. No intimate dining anymore, too congested and rush you in and out. sad

You must bring and prepare all your own meals. Be advised! Continental breakfast is falsely advertised. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly friendly. Vibe + energy was killer! Reasonable rates and clean rooms!

This small town will capture your heart and make you want to stay. We went to see what the Otis Redding song was about and could see straight away why the place was inspirational. The light changing over the San Francisco skyline at any time of day means you can get lost in the sunshine, dream on, and eat in the most idyllic settings. The ferry trip over via Triburon and Angel Island sets the scene and leads into a relaxing stay.

Very quaint relaxing, clean and a stark contrast to across the bay. Sausalito is an artsy town with lovely shops and easy access to the freeway Golden Gate bridge and the ferrys that will take you to San Francisco Oakland or Tiburon. There is not a bad view from the city.

We've stayed at this hotel before and really love the location. We knew we were going to be using the ferry, so it is perfect for that! We could watch fog move in and out all over the bay, but it never visited us in Sausalito itself, which made weather and views fabulous.
The front desk staff was very nice to let me early check in and keeping luggage after check out. The scenery was very beautiful and the environment was relatively quiet according to its center location of Sausalito. The traffic was convenient.
Quiet and clean rooms, very comfy bed, interesting historic property within walking distance of GG and quick drive into Sausalito. We staying in the newer facilities. Enjoying sitting on the large porch at reception area during happy hour.
I truly love this location and staff. It's an historic gem centrally located in the slice of Riviera known as Sausalito. The suites are spacious and impeccably appointed with breathtaking views of the bay and little Marina.
The location of this hotel was its most valuable asset.
Carolina on reception desk was extremely helpful with parking and letting us book into our room very early (11am) for which we were very grateful.
Location and parking are perfect. The hotel is old fashioned but lovely, the rooms are a good size and some of them have little outside areas to sit.
There is a lovely communal room to sit in as well.
I loved my room — especially the balcony and soaking tub. The staff was great and the hotel is conveniently located next to waterfront restaurants, shops, activities, etc. We can’t wait to go back.
Sausalito is great. 15mins by ferry to San Fran, but it’s own microclimate which is warm when SF ain’t. Great fun nights out and proper locals to meet, which all greet you with open arms.
Location was great. Its a very quaint place and seems more like a bed and breakfast. than a hotel. But in this case its just a bed since they no longer do breakfast.
