I did not request a quiet room. I requested a first floor room for a handicapped person. The faucet was broken, there were holes in the walls, no hot water.

Staff was unprofessional. Check-in person had coughing child that she was taking care of as I checked in. Ground door to parking lot was broken, so security was questionable. Asked for an extra blanket to cover up the security light that came through the normal curtains and the night clerk begged me to not steal it. I thought that was an odd remark. The hotel is showing its age and the ground floor room had several places where the wallpaper was torn. As mentioned earlier, the hotel light shining on the window made it seem like dawn/dusk the whole night. The sheer curtains were missing, so did not open curtains during the day (window faced backside of Waffle House). The bathroom was showing age with the tub dripping water and the sink missing the built in drain cover. The sheets appeared clean, so that was a blessing. The price was $125 night, $50 less than better hotels. Looking back, I should have paid more and stayed at a safer, well-maintained hotel.

Shelbyville was a great home base for our Indiana vacation.
Shelbyville was a great home base for our Indiana vacation. It was small enough to be friendly and user friendly, but large enough to have amenities like food and shopping. It is also located near lots of things to do, tons of state parks and outdoor attractions.
There were a lot of crack heads hanging around outside, all doors are accessible and you do not need a need to enter the back of the hotel which is getting as fuck, the hotel is advertised way better in its adds than it actually is, it seems like the hotel is old af and it smells like an old basement, the complimentary break fast is dry cereal btw and it is NOT clean in the rooms or outside of them. I paid $130 for one night which is double the amount it’s worth.
Customer service from hotel & Booking is not compliant. I kept getting the run around. I chose the wrong state that had the same name for the city, I was only trying to rebook at the correct location. I was aware of a possible fee, but no one wanted to do their job. I was told numerous times it was the other parties responsibility to handle it. I reached out by email and called.
Last year, we stayed in various motels (NOT Comfort Inn) and were dismayed by the lack of care given to cleaning the rooms. In one hotel, we walked bare footed in the room and left a mud puddle in the bathtub from the bottom of our feet! From here on out, we are dedicated to Comfort Inns!!
I liked that the check-in process was pretty easy. Overall, the hotel seemed clean. The water pressure was good. I really liked that they had eggs and sausage and not just cold breakfast items. I like the Shelbyville area.
