Located in central Texas, this Sonora motel is just 3 minutes’ drive from Old Sonora Icehouse Ranch Museum. It serves a hot breakfast every morning and features an outdoor pool.
The Quality Inn is located just off Interstate 10 halfway between Houston and El Paso near the Caverns of Sonora, voted one of the top 10 U.S. caves by The Weather Channel.

Modern clean room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Convenient for a stopover for us. Good lighting in the room too which makes a change from most motels.

Front desk agent, Jojo, was exceptionally helpful and had a great personality, which was wonderful after driving all day. Great area to walk pets. Restaurant and gas station next door is really convenient for travelers. Will definitely stay again, in fact already made reservations for our return trip.

We went to visit Caverns of Sonora, which was great, and worth the trip. Aside from that, there isn't anything else in Sonora. The town felt safe enough. Food was ok, but nothing special.
We stopped about 30 or 40 minutes away at Fort Mckavett and took the walking tour. We like history and found it interesting. It was a nice side trip off the beaten path. We were the only ones there.

Sonora has a unique cave with formations not found in other caves. I have visited several times, but this time the guide was far more knowledgable. It is appropriate for adults and older children.

We enjoyed the caverns but probably a bit much for folks our age. When we reached 155 ft. below the surface of the earth, we spent our assent discussing how EMS would get you out. LOL. Very nice hotel and a fun visit on our way to WEST Texas.
Room was clean and i slept great. They were able to accommodate my early check-in and also my 1st floor room request near the dog run. I travel with my chihuahuas and they make traveling with your pets easy. Staff is always friendly. I have injuries from a car accident, so can't drive the whole 7 hours home from Austin, so stop here every time. The steakhouse next door is great, but being closed on Saturdays is kind of a bummer. The rooms are spacious enough for me to set up my dog's playpens, which makes things much easier!
High potential to be a hip hotel due to awesome vintage aesthetic. Not terrible at all but issues with cleanliness and some random people trying to open my car door over night - they need cameras I'm the back to deter crime. Seriously could be a bad ass hotel if they worked on security a little and cleaned the rooms harder. Dog friendly and an OK place to sleep. Just lock your doors and have alarm on ready. My dog barked so I noticed the attempted robbery.
Exceptional customer service and a great manager. Needed to move to a bigger room and needed an additional table for work. Attending staff immediately got me into a larger room. I have been staying at other locations in Sonora while working but this Motel 6 has earned my businesses. I will be staying there on my next trip in a few weeks and thereafter. Great people and value !
The staff was very welcoming and friendly and worked hard to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room was clean and tidy and we found the bed comfortable. I believe the motel is under new management and undergoing some repairs and updates to make the rooms more comfortable and provide better amenities. I would stay here again if I was passing through Sonora.
The location is near the interstate highway and yet it remained relatively quiet, even with all the construction workers that had checked in that night. We were doing long distance traveling and even my husband slept in a little late. (He will wake up with the drop of a hat.)
Breakfast was fresh made to order , staff was friendly! Breakfast omelette & burrito. The waffles were Texas shaped, really cute. Susie front desk was friendly & accommodating & gave us a copy of receipt to take to the caverns for the promo code.
This Motel 6 is one of the exceptions. Very nice staff. Room super clean. Bathtub area on the small side in our Room. Very clean swimming pool and exterior landscape well managed. Nice and quiet. Yes, I would stay here again.
The room was clean and comfortable and was also quiet at night. Restaurants were close by and the hotel staff made good recommendations. The Sonora Caverns were also nearby and easy to get to.
