Rhonda is probably the warmest and kindest host we could have ever met. The house is happily situated at the top of a hill. The room is super comfortable and the house is with details of early 20s. We've encountered 3 cats, all curious or tolerating (with our kid around and poking). The breakfast is superb, and Rhonda's coffee is perfect for the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. We certainly hope we'd come to Sonora and visit Knowles Inn again soon.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly proprietor. Loved that we could have our own outdoor space for breakfast since we were traveling with our dog.

Mercer Caverns was fabulous for our whole family, including our 9 and 2 year olds. It was our older daughter’s favorite part of the trip. After the caverns, we had tasty sandwiches for lunch at picnic tables under the canopy of shade trees at Murpheys Pourhouse. The beer was great, and they had good sandwich options for kids and adults. Indigeny Reserve, nestled in the hills, was a beautiful outdoor spot for a picnic, giant Jenga, and the ciders were the best I’ve ever had, good gift shop, too. We enjoyed a casual, delicious dinner at The Armory; our toddler loved climbing the stairs and watching the fountain while we waited on our meal. Columbia State Park was great and a delight, especially for our nine year old.

Great place for the entire family.
Great place for the entire family. Location is right on the heart of Tuolumne County. Rivers, lakes, hiking, off roading, antiques, etc. Whatever you are into it's probably here.

Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town.
Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town. Several interesting historical locations. Easy access to Yosemite, Angels Camp. Several excellent dining establishments. We arrived at the beginning of the off-season so a number of museums were closed. The Fire Department Museum was very interesting and the docents were a wealth of information!

The town was not the issue--we could not get a different room because motel was booked and it was too late to try and find another. The room was too small for the amount of furniture--dresser drawers did not pull out easily. I don't believe your agency represented this site well. Back to the town, I wish I had had the time to explore it more.

Location to downtown Sonora and farmers market on Saturdays. A driveway to a funeral home runs along the unit. Also, driveway to the unit is very steep, narrow and difficult to use. Can park on the street but cars fly along this road which is busy and I'm not sure where you'd park on the street. Very nice unit and roamy. Kitchen has a nice dual hot plate for cooking but no oven or stove top. Lots of kitchen counter space to work on.
The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was very clean and we felt at home during out stay. We loved the location as we really wanted to walk the Sonora downtown area. We used the balcony to enjoy a glass of wine and soak up some of the late March afternoon sun.
Very comfortable bed, decent couch and table, plenty of counter space. The fridge fit all our needs. Surprisingly quiet. Loved that it was between Jamestown and Sonora, giving us plenty of dining and shopping options. Our cat was also very comfortable.
The location was amazing. Very close to Yosemite, and the town Sonora is also very nice with great local shops and cafes and very nice people. The hotel was fantastic with super friendly staff, delicious breakfast and clean rooms.
Very warm welcome.
Nice big rooms and excellent bed.
Tv cable missing at arrival but very rapidly fixed.
Fantastic pizza at Mike's pizza 1 mile up the road :) (tip from hotel reception)
The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The recent renovation is done right. It is the closest to a hotel a strip motel can get. Great design choices.
