It’s a typical southern college town. The food around the boro is some of the best in the state!!
You MUST go to Big Ma’s and get whatever the special is along with the fried chicken and Mac & cheese. Tell David that Mason says hi and ask him to play whatever is top on his playlist. You will experience all things important in the south right there in that little restaurant.

Breakfast was poor at Eagles Landing hotel.
Breakfast was poor at Eagles Landing hotel. Biscuits hard and missing 2nd day. Juice machine not working 2nd day. The commercially wrapped cakes were terrible and there's no micro to soften them up. Pancake machine is pathetic -- pancakes come out smaller than a piece of toast. No water.
As for city, there are several good restaurants. Campus of Georgia Southern University is beautiful.

The City Of Statesboro Is Nice. It's A Nice College Town.
The City Of Statesboro Is Nice. It's A Nice College Town. However I Do NOT Recommend Anyone Staying At The Windham Days Inn On Fair Road. There is NOTHING WINDHAM ABOUT THAT PLACE!! I Stayed There 1 Of 3 Nights And Left The Next Day!!! That "Hotel" Is FILTHY And I'd Give It 0 Stars If I Could!!!! My Recommendation Of That Place Is So True That The Hotel Is EMBARRASSED To Fully Disclose My Review Along With The Photos I Uploaded. The Hotel Room Was So FILTHY With Roaches, Dirty Refrigerator And Dirty Chairs, Uncleaned Bathroom, I IMMEDIATELY Made Reservations At ANOTHER Hotel In The Area. I Checked In Around 11 or 11:30pm And Checked Out Around 7am. Worst 1 Night Of Sleep Ever!!

Statesboro has grown in 20yrs since i was there but obviously not in good ways. the retail stores built with no thought for trying to have a pretty inviting city. Too bad way far gone. the college has some nice areas but as soon as you drive out, its practically a dump.
Guessing whoever the politicians are they are getting rich!
Too bad
The staff greeted me and were very friendly and welcoming. They were having issues with TV service in the rooms so they gave me a great explanation of the best way to get the TV to work properly. I thought that was very helpful. The hotel could use some updating, but it had everything I needed and was squeaky clean. The shopping plaza right around the corner had a liquor store and an amazing Thai food restaurant. I got some take out and it was fabulous!
The location of this hotel was very poor. There were very strange looking people in the area of the hotel. At 3:00AM i was awakened by screaming women and children. The hotel was fair in condition and I felt 95.00 per night was way out of line. I stayed at a very nice Quality Inn the next night for $50.00 in Fairmont WV!
The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. So many motels and hotels are not serving breakfast because of Covid but this hotel took a different approach. They have staff members serving the buffet breakfast. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the variety of breakfast offerings.
The house was clean, comfortable, and well laid out. The company was very responsive when we contacted them. There was a large grassy area where we could walk our dog. The location near GSU was perfect. Statesboro has a lovely dog park, too. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay.
Room was nasty! Pubic hair in shower, on light switch, and around toilet. The toilet and tub was not cleaned after last guest. The sheets looked like they weren’t changed either. If I could if found another hotel I would of left. All were full, we tried.
We just had a great stay! Everything was great! The breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and even called us when our room was ready for check in! We will return in the future when we come to Statesboro!
The location was great. It was literally two minutes away from GSU, and it was very quiet. Perfect place for someone looking for a getaway. Would definitely stay again if I were to come back to Statesboro.
booking was good, some of the rooms had bad smells, so some family members left for another hotel. We were all
there for a funeral. rooms need more sanitizing
The breakfast was the best compared to the numerous other hotels that I have stayed in. The staff that manages the breakfast was incredibly friendly and kind.
