Our room was filthy, the bed sheets was dirty, the bathrooms needed to clean, dirty towels, no microwave, dust all over the lamps and no phone, everything was filthy. This place need a makeover. The staffs don’t care about your concern 😡😡😡😡

We appreciated the EASY checkin & the charm of the rooms & grounds.
Easy town to get around in. Different fast food options and some nice local restaurants. We would definitely recommend Simkins Parlour, (316 Main St., open 7 days a week). They have delicious hard ice cream flavors! Plus all sorts of hot/cold drinks and fresh made to order food choices! My wife also enjoyed shopping at Collectables & Moor (101 Oak Street, closed Tues.) Especially on a Sunday when most unique shops are closed in this town! And drive-thru Sonic for their cold slush drinks in the summer heat! We would also recommend the Overland Trail Museum (110 Overland Trl., 9-5pm daily, closed Sun.) Wonderful local Pioneer history for a couple or the whole family! Also, Pioneer Park ( 17615 CO-14) is a very nice large park with picnic tables, playgrounds, bathrooms, trails, disc golf and lots of grass for dogs and kids to stretch out!

Due to COVID 19 instead of flying Me and my family (wife and daughter) we were thought to drive to Las Vegas for this time for our safe side. However from my home in Chicago to Las Vegas around 1750 miles which is for 2 days driving. So stealing is 830miles from home and when I check reasonable fare to stay one day for rest I found super 8. So I felt this place is good for stop and spend time for have rest.

ONLY one side of the building was being used, the other side was dark, no lights. Aug 22, 2020 ( BUDGET INN ) Ran down ! I was assisted to a room without a microwave, refrigerator not working, tub and sink wouldn't drain, no remote for the TV and dead/ live crickets on the floor. The door frame had a large space in it that let in sunlight. The second room I was moved to the same issue with the door frame and refrigerator, this time had a remote but would ONLY change the channel, no control of the power button or the volume. Bugs on the floor. Toilet fill up with hot water. This establishment ( BUDGET INN ) needs to be closed down. I felt sorry for the worker who ran both facilities (Super 8 and Budget Inn). I cannot comment on Super 8 because I did not stay there.

The town looks to be a very quaint small town, but right now is a disaster. road repair/constuction on all major roads in town. The constuction has been ongoing forawhile. The town was granted considerable money (30 million dollars ) three years ago. It is scheduled to be done late in 2020.

Cute little town with restaurants and shops.
Cute little town with restaurants and shops. We were only there one night but we found great pizza and Sam & Louie’s. As travelers from another state, we appreciated the businesses that were abiding by the CDC covid-19 guidelines. Walgreens seemed to have the most people not wearing masks which was a little concerning since it’s a pharmacy. What the heck?

Our cellular provider put us at a loss for directions with lack of coverage .Hotel WIFI sporadic as well.
Lots of construction. But the Overland Trail Museum great! It is located right off the interstate. Clean, staff very interactive.
We ate at a chain but a friendly citizen gave us recommendations while we got our oil changed at GreaseMonkey on West side of town
A good breakfast including crisp bacon saved us money having to go somewhere for breakfast.
Pillowcases were embroidered with soft or firm for the pillow firmness. An extra touch.
Great ice maker which we used for small ice chest on the go during the day and on my sprained knee. Sometimes a good ice machine can be taken for granted.
Close to Sterling Lake where we rented a boat and husband caught a big fish.
A little gem of an independently owned hotel walking distance to the main drag. The bed was very comfortable, the room had fun design touches, and it was very clean. In town, the local history museum and visitor center were great - interesting and affordable.
The rooms were nicer than some 3-star hotels! Very clean, updated, spacious, with comfortable mattresses. The staff was helpful and worked with us on our requests. We were surprised, this was the best Super 8 we've ever stayed at! :)
Old motel style hotel, clean and quiet, restaurants couple miles away, we were given a breakfast pack which muxt have cost 3 dollars. we keep this for a snack on the trip and bought a breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Staff was very nice. The older staff had good knowledge of the area. The newer staff not so much for example, an hotel staff should know the nice eating places. The newer staff had only comments about fast food.
The rooms don’t feel like a hotel room you feel at home with the amount of space the room offers also a full kitchen, clean shower, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, and smart tvs
easy self check in with responsive owner. cute area with convenient parking. quiet. clean bedding and towels. nice to support non chain motel. very sweet kitty roaming around :D
The only thing I appreciated about this stay was that the hotel water and the moths flying around the building motivated us to get up early to get out of this place.
